Need Help with Car Rental

We will be going 11/16 to 11/20. Originally there wer 5 of us going and I had a great deal on an SUV from National. Now plans have changed and there will be 7 of us (5 adults, 2 children). Now I know I can get 7 people in a minivan but what do I do with our luggage.

Most of the time when I travel I rent from Hertz since I am in the #1 Club Gold. The service is usually great and have had a decent price with the rentals. I know that Hertz has oversized SUV's I was thinking of renting a Ford Excursion....but the want $593.00 .

Anyone have any discount codes or any other suggestions???

I have already checked at mousesavers and am using my AAA discount which gets me this "lower" rate.

Why not have some members of your group take the Magical Express if you are staying on property? Then Disney will take care of getting your luggage to the resort and the rest of your party can ride to the resort in the SUV.

You could rent 2 smaller cars. We had an intermediate from National for 3 days with the AMEX rate on Mousesavers and the Entertainment free weekend day coupon for $56 w/ taxes.

Thought about that...but I can't send my senior citizen parents on ME...that would just not work, my brother and my nephew get motion sick...especially on a bus....so that leaves my SIL who will be 6 months pregnant and my 4 your old nephew.

Does anyone you know have one of those luggage carriers for the top of the van? We're borrowing my DS's as we also have 7 driving to see Mickey in January.

I'm worried about space in the van with 4 teenage boys in there! God forbid if they have to "touch" eachother!!

I personally don't have one but my neighbor does. It is quite comical to see them load stuff in it.

He was telling me that when he uses it he winds up using more gas. He further explained to me that it disrupts the aerodynmics of the vehicle therefore causeing you to use more gas. I never knew that but of course the guys do.
