I have a AAA rate res at WL for 5/7 - 5/10 that I am trying to convert to AP rate. I have called twice and they keep telling me that weekends aren't included. But I was able to make a WL AP res for my dates and got the AP rate for all 3 days. The problem with the online reservation is they only had Bunk Bed rooms, which I don't want.

I called today and tried to get an AP rate for Saturday, May 16th and was told they are not available for Friday or Saturday nights. I was able to get a AAA discount though.

I was able to apply the AP rate for my weekend nights. At the Contemporary I got the same rate for weekday and weekend nights. For the Boardwalk Villas the weekend rate was higher, but still discounted more than the AAA rate.

I too tried to call tonight about the AP rates. I'm at POR for 9 nights. Got 94 offer for all weeknights. Called back tonight and got a really hostile CM named Sylvester. Ooh, was he not so magical, despite my continued pleasantness. Will call again tomorrow to see.

I just wanted to see about applying a different code to those 2 nights. He did not want to hear it, though.

AP rates are good for the weekends... try booking through the site instead of calling... i'm booked that same weekend on AP rate. (May 16th)

Thanks for the info. I just looked and you are totally right. I can't believe it. THey are showing 104 on Fridays & Saturdays, yet I booked on the phone and they are charging me 180 for each night?! I'll have to call them tomorrow. Thanks again! :goodvibes

Unfortunately, not all categories are included in the AP discount. Your room choice most likely does not have availability for your length of stay. Ask about booking a partial stay. Unfortunatly, having a room reservation prior to the release does not guarantee that you will be able to convert it to the new discount. Good luck and post back. FYI, yes there are discounts for the weekends at "some" of the resorts. I found yesterday that often there was standard available, but not preferred, and at some resorts, just the opposite.

I just checked the AP website and only bunkbeds (like you said) are available for $244 a night for each night. Also at the AKL only bunks are available (plus more expensive rooms). However, I checked the WLV and they have a studio available for $244 your first night (Thurs) and Friday and Saturday are only $199 each night. That is a great price and is $100 less than the bunkbed offer. It seems that the DVC resorts are 50% off for the weekend, but higher during the weekdays -- weird. It's probably because most of us DVC members use the points throughout the week because they are lower and stay cash elsewhere on the weekends.

I called a total of 3 times last night, getting the same answer. I even tried having them look up a courtyard view that was available on line at the same time and they couldn't get the weekend rates. I made the res online with the bunkbed rooms, and will try again to day to convert my non BB room res. I wasn't planning on renewing my AP, but since I am saving $250 on the room vs AAA, it might be worth it.

Can anyone check and see if FW cabins are included with the weekend AP rate? I don't have an AP (yet).
Thanks!
Mo
