I am getting ready to make my ADRs and want advice. Can you tell me if I have estimated the times right? Here are my plans:

Day 1: Le Cellier 5:00 (Then take boat to DHS for Fantasmic at 8:00. Is this cutting it too close? Since we are going in October, I think as long as I'm at Fantasmic by 7:15 I should get a decent seat.)
Day 2: Ohana 6:30 (Then watch Wishes from Poly beach at 9:00)
Day 3: Boma for breakfast 10:00 (Then swim or community hall until 3:00; arrive at MK for MNSSHP at 4:00)
Day 4: Teppan Edo 5:00 (Then walk around WS until closing)
Day 5: Sanna 6:30 (Is this a good time to eat while watching the savanna? I can't seem to remember what time the sun sets in October. Around 8:00? Would it be better if I made a later ADR so I can see the sun setting or is Sanaa even facing the sunset?)
Day 6: Yak & Yeti (undecided on time; it's Evening EMH--would it be better if I make an ADR for @4:30 then have from @6:00-8:00 for EMH, or should I make it for the latest time (would that be @7:45?) and make the most of the day?)

Of course these are approximate times. It all depends on what I can get. But do these times look good with enough time allowed for my other plans?

I think LeCellier I would make a little earlier. This is one of the restaurants that tends to have a wait even with an ADR (we've never had one, but we usually get the first seating for either lunch or dinnre). I'd also do Yak & Yeti at 7:45; doing it at 4:30 which is a busy time from our experience might cut into that 6-8 p.m. time frame.

I would like to see you TIME your ADR's with the Parks they are associated with....

The GOAL to optimize your time at WDW is to Stay where you are as much as you possibly can....

For Example... Your LeCellier Ressie should be on your Epcot Day...:thumbsup2

ALSO -
Watching Wishes from the Poly Beach is surely fabulous...I didn't watch when I stayed at the Poly...because I am a "SHOW PURIST"....

There are aspects to each show...even shows folks call "Fireworks" that can only be enjoyed from the origination of the show... :worship:

For example... don't believe you can see Tink's FLight from the POLY...so while it might be a neat thing to walk down the POLY beach and see some fireworks from WIshes....Please dont' think you have experienced "Wishes" in it's Entirety.... you need to be at MK to do that...and (IMHO) Preferably ...somewhere near the Tomorrowland Bridge...:yay:

Hugs,
Mary

Thanks for the advice. But this is why we got Park Hoppers. I don't have an "Epcot Day." I will be going to the parks only 3 days during this trip using park hopping each day. Of those 3 days, the only day I will not eat in the park where I'll spend the evening is Day 1. I'm going to Epcot ONLY to eat, then heading to DHS ONLY to see Fantasmic--not too much planned. I don't think I will have trouble timing anything around the parks. I just want advice on whether my ADRs are too early or too late according to what I have planned.

As far as Wishes, I have seen them several times before and I will be seeing the HalloWishes while in MK while we are there. Because I will be eating at the Poly on a non-park day, I just figured it might be nice to walk down to the beach and see Wishes (since it's not an MNSSHP night). I have no desire to get in that crowd to see something I've already experienced. Sorry, but I really just need advice on ADR times.

I think that a 7:15 arrival at DHS for Fantasmic is definitely not enough time. We were just there in late January (a low crowd time) and arrived around 7:10 for the 8 PM show and I was not happy with our seats - off to the side a bit and lower than I wanted and felt we should have arrived earlier. At 7:15, the line for the theatre was back by the stores on Sunset and the street was packed side to side.

Plus the boat from Epcot will take a while - sometimes that loop can take 30+ minutes - you can definitely walk it just as fast, sometimes faster, if you were up for that.

With all that said, I do think you can make a 7:15 arrival at DHS with a 5 PM Le Cellier reservation, but I might be optimistic! It just shouldn't be very backed up yet at 5 PM, so I think you would be out by 6:30.

I just don't think arriving at 7:15 is the right time.

6:30 at 'Ohana could possibly leave a lot of time from the time you finish dinner and the 9:00pm Wishes. You may try to get something near 7:30 or so.

This is exactly what I was going to say. We've got Yak&Yeti reservations at closing time for our trip and I'm excited to be in the park that late.

Also, I think you might have a little wait at 'Ohana with a 6:30 ADR so this will probably give you great timing for watching Wishes on the beach.

Have a great trip!
