I am going to try and make a meatloaf tonight. I want to use the recipe on the back of the onion soup mix. I have put in the recipe in my online WW's recipe builder. I am using egg beaters and reduced calorie bread instead. (but that's not my problem) When I type in the ingredients I am unsure if I need to put ground beef as raw ground beef or cooked ground beef. When I put it in as raw the points are slightly higher and if I use cooked it's lower. Hope this makes sense?

I think it's probably because 1 lb of raw ground beef is not the same as 1 lb of cooked ground beef. Are you using extra lean? That would cut points.

I understand that raw and cooked have different POINT value. I am using 93% 7% fat ground beef. I am confused. ::yes::

Even though I'm not a WWer, I'm going to suggest that you use the point value for raw ground beef. Unless, of course, you are planning to use cooked ground beef before you bake it.

I think the different point values probably have something to do with the amount of fat that cooks out of ground beef.

If you plan to make the meat loaf using raw ground beef in the mixture before it's cooked, I would use that point value.

Errr....or did I misunderstand your question? Like I said, I'm not a WWer.

I think you need to use the raw ground beef. Make sure you enter it with the 93% lean too. I think you would use cooked ground beef if you were adding it to a sauce or on top of a pizza.
