Need help with a specific server please.

OK...we have a specific server requested on our reservation for the 14 day repo. My question is....how do we find out who we have ( before dinner that first night), and if it is not the one we requested, how do we try to change it?

Are they pretty good at trying to give us who we requested? We never asked before.

We have never bothered to put in a request when we book but if you go to the place where the palo resies are the dining room managers will be there also processing dining changes. We just go to their table, ask if our favorite is on the ship for that cruise, and have been able to be switched very easily.

You go to "Dining Changes: after you board. If you didn't get the server you requested, you put in your request again at that time. They will move you to that server's section if they can.

We're going to have a relatively full cruise, so I'm not sure how much manipulation they will be able to do. We also requested a particular server...of course they gave us the disclaimer about not being able to promise, etc. We did check with our server the last time we sailed, and he was planning to be on the repo cruise.

We were on one cruise where we requested him in advance and didn't get him. We requested at Dining Changes, and we got transferred to his section. We later learned that 18 people had requested him on that cruise (and some weren't too happy that we got him and they didn't!) They were able to move us because we were a party of 2. The larger groups couldn't be relocated.
