Need help with a small "live" flower /tree gift

Not sure where to find the best prices for this.

I'm looking for a nice desk top size fir tree or live floral decoration to give to a few special clients. Like what you see in Jackson Perkins. I have ordered from them in the past but I'm trying to watch the budget without looking like they are geting less. I just need a few and I would deliver them myself.

So does Lowes or Home Depot have these? Grocery Stores? I know a florist may be more expensive. and Costco's are too big!

I guess poinsettias would be too obvious? They really do make a nice green plant after the color fades. I still have three from last year. I didn't go through all the trouble to try to make them color up again, but enjoy the greenery.

I saw some decorated Christmas'trees' that were maybe 2 or 2 1/2 feet tall at BJs the other day, I think they were like $17.99 if I remember right.

Lowes had amaryllis and paper whites like Jackson and Perkins a couple of weeks ago. You give the bulbs as the gift and in a couple weeks they bloom beautifully. They were $8 I think per pot. I have given these before as gifts to neighbors, hostess gifts etc. I usually can find a christmas themed pot to drop the plain one in at the dollar/discount store. You can also wrap the plain pot in metallic wrapping paper for a festive touch.
I also picked up a vase with tulip bulbs at Costco last christmas, 2 vases, 6 bulbs each for $20..same idea as above only no need for the extra pot. I'm not sure if they have them this year, but they bloomed beautifully...Good Luck!
