My "ole faithful" cordless has just died. I really loved it because it was big. I could hold it on my shoulder by turning my neck at an angle and do other things with my hands while I talked. (It's a "mom" thing......) I tried using my DD's hand's free phone and the 25 foot cord was too short.

All of the new phones that I have seen are smaller and I could be accidentally turning it off or pushing other buttons. They are also so small that I don't think I could hold it on my shoulder like the old one.

Does anybody know of a larger cordless that is good?

Claudia, why don't you get one of those headsets. That way you don't have to put a cramp in your neck to talk on the phone.

Or is that the "hands free phone" of your dd's.

Any Uniden brand is reliable. I've convinced my family to switch to them and everyone likes them. I've had the same one for 3 years and I've only had to buy a new battery after two years and it still works fine.

I too have a Uniden. I love it.
