Well, here is the deal. I made a PS for CG on Friday, Nov. 12th for 8:00 expecting Wishes to begin at 9:00. (I did confirm on the Disney calendar at what time Wishes would be showing) DH and I do this dinner every time we visit WDW. Well now, upon a prompting from someone on this board, I checked the Disney calendar and lo and behold they have changed the time that Wishes will play that day. Wishes will now begin at 8:00 and our PS is for 8:00. Not the best arrangement.

So, I emailed YC IPO and asked them to find me a PS for 7:00 at CG and of course, CG is booked until 9:30 that night. Alana said that she would keep looking, but she suggested that we should dine at Nacoossee's at 7:00.

My question is this....First, has anyone eaten at Narcoosee's and did you like it? Second, will I be able to see Wishes from this vantage point at GF? Or, should I just keep our 8:00 PS at CG, go up a little early (15 min.) and hope to see Wishes from the bar and then enjoy our dinner.

AARRGGHH!!!

Please help.

We've done Narcoossee's a number of times and I think the food there is very good. The restaurant sits out over the lake, so you'll be looking across at the fireworks and not down on it like the CG. They also have a deck, so if by chance you don't have a window seat, you can stand out there and watch them. The only thing about Narcoossee's is that you will see a lot of families here and it can get noisy. I don't know if you're looking for romance and quiet, or just good food and a nice view.

From what I've heard about the new check in policy at the CG, they will not allow you to go up early unless there is room in the lounge to wait. My guess is that might not be the case so close to the time of Wishes. Perhaps someone else can confirm this though. It would be a shame to miss them all together.

My understanding was if you have a PS they'll definitely let you up early. The people who may or may not be allowed up are those who just want to go to the bar and see Wishes from up there. Earlier that week we have a PS for 20 minutes after Wishes. We're planning to go early and watch from the observation deck before we get our table. We were told that's fine when we made this PS.

Thanks guys. Maybe that is what we will do. Go up a little early and watch from the observation deck if our table isnt' ready. My guess is that I will surely not be seated before Wishes starts.

Narcoossee's sounds great, but my husband and I are definately looking for a little alone time. After a long week at the world with DS7, DS5, and DS2, we will probably need a few cocktails.

I was so bummed when they changed the Wishes time. I thought I had it planned perfectly.

Of well. Sure not going to let it put a damper on my trip. :p

Check in ~ 7:30 and tell them you'd like to go up early to make sure you see Wishes.... if nothing else, you should be able to get a drink at the bar and go out to the observation deck to watch. If you get luck and are seated early, ask your waiter if they can get appetizers out before Wishes (the kitchen pretty much closes down for it) and be prepared to immediately order them.....
