Decided at the last minute to stay at the port the night before our Wonder cruise next week....2/6.

Problem: many of the hotels are full to capacity. not sure if it's all cruisers or some kind of convention. Booked: Radisson, Hilton, Doubletree, Hampton Inn, Courtyard, Royal Mansions....

These are the choices left, that fit our budget. Listed cheapest to most expensive:

- Quality Suites
- Days Inn
- Best Western
- Comfort Inn

Which would you choose? I think Quality suites is the only one with breakfast. We just want to stay somewhere clean, esp since we are traveling with a toddler.

I looked on DCLtribute.com and i can't find any info causing me to choose one of these over another.

Any input is greatly recommended.

We had the very same problem! We ended up getting the Holiday Inn Select via Priceline for $43. You might want to give that a try. Usually we only pay $28 and get the Marriott, but beggars can't be choosers! We never did figure out what's going on.

Is the holiday inn select different from the holiday inn express?

i just looked it up through the biddingfortravel site, and it's the holiday inn that's 7.5 miles from the port (as per dave's site). i'm worried because dave's site mentions some anecdotal reports of dirty rooms. then again, for the price....

Oops, I read your post too fast...I was thinking that you were going to stay at a hotel near MCO before heading to the port the following morning. The Holiday Inn Select that we're staying at is in the MCO area. All the hotels there seem to be booked too!

The Quality Suites is kinda' boxed in by other hotels and condos, so it wouldn't be my first choice for a relaxing beach vacation, but since you're for basic accommodation for your night before, I'd go with the one that's cheapest and offers breakfast. If you were spending more than one night, I'd suggest the Best Western.

oops. i listed them as most expensive to cheapest. but the difference between the two extremes is really only about $20.

maybe we'll try to get the best western then - it's the closest.

any other suggestions from anyone who's stayed at any of these?
