Does anyone have a specific villa recommendation that would be close to the play area and community pool ?

Based on everything we've read, it looks like Windsor Palms has gotten good reviews for resort itself as well as proximity to Disney. (Extended family is staying on-site).

We will be visiting in February and would like a 3- bedroom (or 4-bedroom) unit. Since we have small children, we would like to be able to easily walk to the play structure and community pool (is there a kids pool also ?) I've looked at the map, but many of the listings only list the street, not house number, and depending on which end of the street you are located, that makes a big difference.

Thanks everyone, this is a fabulous reference !

We stayed in a 3 bedroom condo in Windsor Palms the end of April that was very nice. It is on the first floor and right next to the playground and pool. Here is the website I rented it from... http://www.vrbo.com/19578. I think the villa might have new owners because the ones I worked with were from the US, but now it has an overseas number. Hope this helps.

We picked this condo for the same criteria you have. We're going at the end of August for 2 weeks and PROMISE to write a trip report once back home. :)

The new owners seem very nice in our emails back and forth. Their property manager in Orlando, or whatever the correct title is, seems very nice too. Do you want me to ask them if I can pm their email address to you?

There are cheaper accom in Windsor Palms, but even tho' someone mentioned this particular unit may be a bit noisier due to its proximity to the pool and being on the first floor closer to the airco units, I went ahead and booked it.

When you say first floor, do you mean the American ground floor or the British which is 1 floor above the ground floor unit? Something I was thinking about the other night and couldn't remember!
What did you like/not like about this unit?

Sandyfeet,

You can walk directly outside from the condo. It is not like garden level or a basement. We loved everything about the unit. We did not find it to be loud at all. I don't think we ever heard noise from the pool. We did hear our neighbors above us walking around one morning but that was it. My husband LOVED the big screen TV to watch some of the NBA playoffs. Even on vacation I couldn't get him away from sports! I'm sure you will have a great time. Windsor Palms really is a beautiful community.
