Need help verifying received HRH payment

I have ressies for 2 nights in March and mailed in payment several weeks ago. I have been trying to get verification that payment was received, but reservations does not have payments in their computer....meaning they say they don't EVER have that info available. They gave me another # and it gave me a voicemail thing in accounting. HUH?? <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused"> I have never heard of this before. It also said I could press 0 for assistance and that I am assuming took me to front desk or somewhere and that person said they would transfer me to reservations and I told her they did not have the info on payments and she acted surprised and then said she would transfer me to accounting and I once again got the voicemail. Well, I'd really like to speak to a real person now. Why is this so difficult? IS this normal procedure? Thanks to anyone who can help.
 
Was it a check? Call your bank, see if it cleared.
When you booked were you given a ressie #?

I just made a reservation at HRH. The guy said he had to charge one night on my c/c right then. I told him I wasn't sure if it would go through, but he said "yes it went through" and gave me a confirmation number. I don't see that this has been charged to my c/c.

Should I be concerned about this? As long as I have the confirmation number I'm OK, right? Has anyone else had this experience?

That's a normal procedure. They do charge one nights stay. When you check out you have the option of charging the balance or paying by other means. You have your ressie # and they have your CC#. Not to worry. Call you CC company and see if its charged out, or being held against the account. You could also call back and ask for written confirmation.

Being a credit card, they may not actually put it through until you arrive. They may have just taken your cc info and gotten an "approval" number for the charge. Don't worry about it - when you check in then ask about balances and payment and make sure you get a receipt.
 
When I booked they also did 1 night. This was some time ago and no it doesnt show up but it is held against youre card. Just pretend its there when you check youre balance. If youre unsure call them direct with youre con #. I've done this&alll my ino comes up. Then at least youre assured you have youre room.
