Hi,

Thanks to another poster mentioning the return address of a code e-mail, I checked my old e-mails and discovered that I had received one in December - with a PIN. I must have put it out of my mind because the dates (2/17 - 4/16/05) did not fit our needs. HOWEVER, I looked and at the very bottom it says "Additional dates available 4/17-05 - 7/4/05."

I called the number (407-939-7864) and spoke with a completely clueless (sorry, I know that's strong) rep. She said she could not find anything saying that my code (I think she called it DEH????) was valid for those dates (4/17-7/4). She then put in a great deal of effort trying to get me to buy a package. It would be POR for six nights (5/15-5/21) with 6 day tickets for $1999.90 (two adults and three 5-year-olds). She said it worked out to $149 plus tax, per night for the hotel.

I notice the e-mail also says "This offer is good at Disney Moderate Resorts and only available when you call 407-939-7864 or your Travel Agent." Do you think if I contacted DU that they'd be able to help me get a room reservation with the code and PIN?

Has anyone used this particular e-mail (with 2/17 - 4/16/05 dates) to successfully book a room during the "additional dates" of 4/17/05 - 7/4/05????

Any help is appreciated.

I have run into some not-so-all-knowing CMs at CRO in the past as well. I recommend calling back as you'll most likely get someone new and try again.

I got a postcard that said select values 2/17-4/16 for $74/night and select vallues 4/17-7/04 $59/night. I called and asked about deluxe availability and was told no, they didn't apply, wait for another postcard. Called again spoke to someone different again asked about deluxes told none was available, called a 3rd time and got the Poly for 5/28-6/4 for $239/night.

Sometimes you just have to keep trying until you get what you want. I would definetly call back.

Good Luck

what is the return address? I hope I didn't miss mine.

I assume you mean the return address on the postcard.

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts
PO Box 10000
Lake Buena Vista FL 32830-1000

It's bigger than a regular postcard and has a picture of Mickey and a young boy touching noses on the front and says, "All the magic you can imagine...."
on the back it says, "...at a price you've only dreamed of."

I think the OP meant the return address of the e-mail so they could check their deleted messages folder.

ok..I have not gotten a code,,etc though e mail or snail mail,,,(and dont wanna lie and say i did)...BUT of I call them,,,may I ask if there are any discounts, etc for the room rates for a value resort during regular season...OR will I just waste my "minutes" ..

Ooops! wasn't following that they were questioning the e-mail. Couldn't understand why someone would want the address but thought I was being helpful.....need to pay attention!

Hi!

I received and successfully used that same e-mail in December for our trip in the extended time-frame...we're going in May. I hadn't planned on booking immediately, but I got worried about the big switchover craziness in January and booked on Dec. 26th. I had no problem at that time and was offered discounts on Value and Deluxe although we wanted Moderate. I got $94 waterview at POFQ but could have had $79 standard. I just looked at the original e-mail again and couldn't find an expiration date for booking. I also asked how long I had to book and was told "as long as there are still discounted rooms available". You should most definitely try another CM.

Good luck to you! :flower:

I appreciate your attempt to help though! :earsboy: Does anyone know the return address for the pin code email? I'm worried I missed it!

I'm a newbie at this, you all talk about the e-mails & postcards, how do you get so lucky to be included on these mailing. We are planning a trip for my husband/son (3)/ & our summer babysitter (20) for Dec.

I want to make it a trip to remember for all, so any help trying to upgrade without going broke would be appreciated.

:flower: Post card and Email codes seem to be luck of the draw. But this year I got a post card, and we went last year. But we brought DVC so no need for post card now

Disagain,

If that was you that originally posted the return address on that other thread, THANK YOU. I would have thought it was from an "outside company," not from Disney, with that kind of return address.

I will try calling back today, and hope I have more luck...

As far as how to get a postcard... I really don't know! But I will tell you that mine says "We noticed you enjoyed the fun of our Value Resorts the last time you were here..." We have moved twice since our last visit, so I doubt they were able to track me down from info. already in their system.

I know when you request a free video, they ask the date of your last visit. Maybe they asked what resort we stayed in, too?? If so, I would guess that requesting the video is what got me on their list. Just a theory.

That's what I'm thinking. Because we now have DVC they no longer send them to us. But, I wish they would because sometimes I wouldn't mind doing a quick trip at a value (or moderate) and not use my points for an extended weekend stay and get it at a discount.

I am wondering if mine ended up in my AOL spam folder and I deleted it without looking! :confused3

I could kick myself thinking that it may have been there after I ordered the planning kit. :sad2:
