Need help to win Jungle Cruise

So I get a tip on how to get in the Top Ten score list on the Jungle Cruise game, right? Well, first I encounter some bugs jumping into the game, then I get delayed while trying to access JC at the dock, finally the game loads, but is severely lagged until I pass the third screen of Trip One. When I finally complete my game, guess what I recieve...

NOTHING!

No messages, no credits, not even that lousy link to the PDF coupon good for the tent room what can only be redeemed at the Parks.

I wrote to VMK about it, and I hope they fixed it up good. Has anyone else had this kind of problem?

sadly i have never been able to get that far. have you ever won it before or is this your first time? i've been wanting to win it (it being the jungle cruise) and get the tent room too.

I can't ever get more than 23,000 which is no where close to what you need to get the tent coupon.

I got on the top ten list when I played first thing when VMK opened. It wasn't even a decent score, but it was good enough at the time to get me the tent room. That's my tip!

Oh, and it obviously depends on who else you're playing against at the same time, but try it out a couple times right when VMK opens and you should get it! I think the harder part is getting to a park to redeem the coupon!

This is exactly what you have to do. I have accomplished this today and yesterday. My daughter and I are the happy owners of a Tent Room certificate. Do it as soon as the game opens.

Based on the info I heard, you print out your paper from the link. Then take it to VMK Central. At VMK Central, they will scan the barcode on the piece of paper and then scan your ticket to the park too. Then they will hand you the card for the item you won on that piece of paper. Then you take the card plug in the code found on the back of the card and then you have your prize.

Also, watch your speed of your boat, in the second and third rounds, if you leave the room too quickly, you will miss opportunities to score more points when several more animals pop up after a delay. I did not realize this until one day when I was trying to collect film and I had to back up to get it, then I saw more animals pop up. This is especially true in round 3, you must stay in the room even longer as several larger scoring animals pop up towards the end of the rooms.

The quicker you hit your target the more likely you will get a Flawless provided that your subject is well center. In the river with tent room, I can hit almost every animal and receive a Flawless.

I would like to know if a "perfect" is higher than a "flawless". Anyone know?

I think my problem is that I always run out of gas before the secound round ends.

Do you need to try to get through the rooms quickly so as not to waste gas?

Also, are you taking pictures of every animal, or only certain ones? I know that some animals score way more points than others on different screens, but I'm not sure if it's good strategy to waste a shot on a 50 point toucan.

I have not tried it twice with the same character, but I would think that they would not give it to you twice. Try it with your mule or your child's character if you require another certificate.

Yes, great point Iris. Definetly watch your speed. I honestly never speed up or back up - unless I know I am seriously running low on gas or film.

As for perfect or flawless - I do not know which one is higher. I will have to look again.

For this tactic to work (playing first thing in the morning, to get a spot on the Top 10 High Scores), the VMK has to reset the high scores, which they do NOT do daily.

So, you have to keep trying it until you are lucky enough to be one of the first few people in the day to play, AS WELL AS playing on a day when they actually have reset the high scores.

I make the Top Ten list every time I play. My highest score is 63K. I have posted my tips before, but I don't think anyone follows them, otherwise everyone would make the Top Ten!

Here is what I do:
1) Get all the gas and film
2) It is crucial to hit NOTHING in the first round through. After that, it is okay to hit a couple of things, but steering the boat well is important to maintain a good gas level.
3) Hang around in each room until every animal is gone. Use the back key to linger in the room.
4) And the most important tip which makes NO SENSE: "Ok" is better than "flawless" and "perfect" and anything else. Center the picture, wait until the last possible moment, and then take the picture just before the animal disappears. I know it sounds dumb. One day I played on my laptop, which has no mouse. I had my hands crossed and was extremely slow getting to the animals to take a picture. Then I saw the score and was dumbfounded - it was best I had ever played.

I hope to see you all in the Top Ten list! I think I will go and play now.

I did the same thing: Got in just as VMK opened.

Do not pass Esmeralda. Go not collect 20 x 5 NPC game credits.

Once I won, I picked up my NPC's.

I just followed my own advice and made 5th with 62,688. Please try it! Also, I should have mentioned that in the last round through, the animals come and go pretty quickly, so don't bother waiting too long then. And pay attention to when the hippos pop up under the boat and linger until you can take a picture. Otherwise you miss a shot (and they are worth a lot) and they hit the boat and rob you of gas. Go get 'em!

Situation Update:

I log back onto VMK, and I'm greeted with four messages. One of them says I won 100 credits for getting on the top ten list. Two of them say I won the tent room coupon, and the other is the secret code message that pops up when you first log on. I guess they were backed up in the message dept. or there was a bug or something.

But the important thing is I won my prize. Can I get a WOOT?
