I purchased Avery transfers to make our shirts. I printed them out and took them to a local t-shirt person who used her heat press to press them on my shirts. Everything came out beautifully except...when I printed the name fill for my son's shirt my ink was messed up and the color was off. I didnt have anymore Avery transfers so I reprinted it on a Wilton dark transfer I had from previous projects. We cut around the name fill and left a white border around it. Well, when we washed it the ink came off the name fill. Now there is just a white rectangle. The Avery transfers worked great, no bleeding, fading, or anything. If I buy another Avery transfer can I put it on over the transfer that is already on there? I tried to peel it off but no luck it is really stuck to the shirt. If I cant put the new transfer over the old one I am going to have to make a whole new shirt. Thanks for any help!

This may be coming to you too late but i was away from the boards for awhile and I wanted to reply.

I have personally never tried this but have heard others say they have. If you make the transfer that will go on top bigger, you may have luck. You want it to overhang the first transfer enough that it is sticking to the shirt around the edges.

Be aware though that in putting them on top of eachother, it makes the transfer area twice as thick which will make that area even more 'unbreathe-able' (if that is even a word). Meaning that it will be a little 'warmer' under the transfer.

I have no idea how they will wash up/hold up with two transfers. I would suggest just starting over with a new shirt. But that is my personal opinion.
