I am at a lost of where the best place to find jeans is. RIght now, I am having big problems because I am back to being in between sizes (and not the sizes I want to be in between...lol).

Back in June, I was a 10/12 (depending on the store). Unfortunately, I had surgery at the end of june and was on an excersize ban for about 8 weeks. Well, I didnt really gain weight during those 8 weeks BUT I now feel like the pillsbury dough boy in my belly...lol. My 5 months of hard work at the gym before surgery all turned to flab in 8 weeks.

So now, I am stuck between 12/14. My 12s seem to fit on my legs but seem snug in my hips/belly and the 14s are just big all over.

I own jeans from American Eagle, New York and Company, Ann Taylor Loft and INC brand from macys.

My friends are very little help because they are all like size 6 or smaller. (I need some bigger friends...haha)

I leave for school in 3 1/2 weeks and I would love to have some jeans that fit really well but I'm at a loss. I am 5'3 with short legs (I'm mainly torso) with size 12 legs and size 14 hips/belly. Does anyone have any ideas of good brands to try? I dont want to spend all day on jean hunting and I dont wnat to spend a lot of money on jeans because I am hoping, now that I am back at the gym, I will be back into my other jeans soon.

Go to Delia's and check out their jeans. My dd is short and we finally found a place to buy pants for her.

She wears a 5/6 short and they FIT! She is only 5ft.

Try different fit of jeans. I worked at Eddie Bauer years ago and had a woman come in all down on herself. She had a 6 month old and said nothing was fitting. I had her try on a curvy fit and the fit in a smaller size. So my suggestion is try a different fit.

Try Old Navy. They are not real expensive and have several styles, so if one style does not fit another might.

Also, the ones with stretch seem to grow as you wear them, they are tight at the beginning of the day, but by the end they are more comfortable or too big.

BTW I am only 5'2 and have to get short length, too.

I have a pair of Vera Wang (?) I got from Kohl's on clearance, but I am not sure how they are priced. I like them also. They have a good return policy so if you bought them and were unhappy you could return them easy.

Good Luck, I hate being between sizes. It takes me forever, between the sizing and the length to find pants that fit.

I'm 5'7" so I can't help on length, but I found a bunch of jeans over at the Tommy Hilfiger outlet. If you have an outlet mall near you, I'd head there. The pair I bought were only $15. I'm in the process of losing weight, so I didn't want to spend a fortune on jeans. My biggest problem is that in some stores I can wear a 14 and they're still tight where as other stores I can wear a 6 and they're big. So incredibly frustrating!!

I recommend Vera Wang from Kohls, Old Navy jeans, or Gap curvy. Best of luck!
