We are going to Orlando on 1st December for 1 week. There will be me and Mrs Freaky, DD(7), DS(3) and mother and father in-law. They are both keen golfers and plan to play a bit whilst there.

We have enquired with about 24 (honest!) villas in different areas and have narrowed our search down to about 5 villas.
1. Chatham Park
2. Sunridge Woods
3. Lindfields
4. Crescent Lakes
5. Southern Dunes

We need help to decide which will suit us best. We really don't want to spend more than £500 for the week. The In-Laws would really like to stay very close to a good golf course so they can walk there if we take the car away for the day. We would like some sort of recreation area in the villa community to go with the kids if they get bored. Obviously close to the attractions too!

We will be going to Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party, Sea World, possibly Universal/IOA and shopping at Premium Outlet Mall and Millenium Mall.

Any advice greatfully accepted/appreciated!

Jonny

It is all about personal preference.

For us staying just off the 192 in Kissimmee is best. Easy access to all parks, the I-4 and Publix Supermarkets!

We have an autistic son who is 6 years old so because he loves water and Blues Clues videos we now always stay in a private villa.
To be honest the main things we look for when booking a villa are location, age of property, secluded pool area and VCR - not necessarily in that order.
Had a bad experience the first time we rented a villa, in the Davenport area, the home was so bad we moved to one at Chatham Park after a week , the 'bad' home was 10 years old and in need of severe re-furbishment plus the owner's web site was years out of date.
Consquently, we now look to rent a home that is fairly new - Chatham was okay, no problems really but this development is at least 7 years old and you do rely on the owner to keep it looking good - villas in Florida get a lot of stick from the weather (and guests I guess).
We have driven round a few and would recommend Indian Point - where we are staying next year, some older homes but newer ones too...Cumbrian Lakes, Indian Creek and Formosa Gardens.
All are just off the 192, sorry cannot really comment on the others you mention.

We are paying £450 per week, try : villas2000.com

If you want a golf course then stay at Southern Dunes its on one but some people feel its a bit far out. Lindfields is off the 192 and an established community with few facilities crescent lakes is probably the closest to the parks. You pays your money -you takes your choice;)

Highlands Reserve Golf Club is also a lovely location with luxury villas surrounding the course. Ideal for those that love golf:D
