Need Help (Romantically challenged)

Just the fact that you want to be romantic for your DW is ROMANTIC! I don't know if you have chosen a resort yet but we stayed at CSR and it was so romantic at night (and we had two babies with us!). The lighting around the resort is beautiful.

I agree too, that just being there together without the kids is enough to make it romantic. I second the hand holding suggestion, and really like the idea of the carriage ride.

I hope you have a wonderful trip together!

not sure if this is something that you are interested in or is in your price range but how about renewing your wedding vows? or having a romantic room decorating?

You could also do a gift basket with spa stuff and maybe book a couples massage at the GF?

simple things to me are romantic...dh and I have been together for 13.5 years, and we're just in our late 20's. It's the little things he does that give me the most joy, for example, on our trip last spring, he disappeared for a moment while we were settling down on a park bench for a bit of a rest, and returned with popcorn and a coke for me, and I never even asked. I'm in love all over again...tee hee...

Have dinner at the Califonia Grill during Wishes fireworks (you can search these boards for how to exactly pull that off) and then afterward ride the monorail and explore the monorail line resorts, the beach at the Poly and GF are both great places to walk holding hands and talk. OR from the Contemporary I think you can get the boat over to Wilderness Lodge and explore. Think quiet and peace, even if you stay at the All-Stars a night walk around the property is romantic because (and remember to tell the DW this part) you're alone together.
Try some little suprizes that she wont expect, like before she wakes up go grab her breakfast and coffee and bring it back to the room for breakfast in bed. You know your wife best, even if you don't think your that romantic just think about what she likes and give her what she likes, she will think it's romantic b/c she will feel loved and that you are thinking of her.
Okay, ladies am I right? My DW will read this, hope she thinks so... or else I gotta do somthing differently.

Here are some of mine...(giggles)

Take a nice slow walk through the Rose Garden by the castle
After Wishes, they play slow Disney songs, slow dance to them
Watch the fireworks from the Ft. Wilderness Beach, you standing behind her with your arms wrapped around her
Relaxing together in a hammock on one of the beaches
Walking around the Poly resort at night, so pretty
Walking around the Boardwalk resort

Just relax. Things will come to you!

Hope you enjoy your trip!

If you'll have a car, visit the town of Celebration one evening and have dinner at one of the restaurants there, then take a stroll around the lake. If you don't want to eat at one of the restaurants, just go for an ice cream at the Kilwin's ice cream and chocolate shop (right next to the cinema) and then for a walk around the lake.

The Celebration Hotel has a piano player in the lobby bar every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night that is enjoyable to listen to. If you haven't already booked a room on Disney property, you might actually consider staying at the Celebration Hotel which my DH and I love and find very romantic. It's a boutique hotel and more adult-oriented than any of the Disney resorts.

This isn't exactly romantic, but if you don't usually visit Disney without kids, you could go to the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk any evening. This is something you can't do when you have kids in tow and it's so much fun -- they are great.

Just strolling around the Boardwalk in the evening is very romantic, maybe even take a surrey bike ride.

My DH isn't romantic either, so that's the best I can come up with. :teeth:

If I may -
I love to do romantic things -
I have done - the Pixie Dust package advertised on Deb's website before. This was awesome. It's for a 4 hour period of time, usually at Magic Kingdom in which you do the following:
You come up with a letter (a few weeks ahead of time) that you want to give to your wife. You make it as heart-felt and sincere as a guy possibly can.
You send it to the Pixie Dust people. They take the letter and transpose this onto a puzzle board - in very nice writing and then they take the puzzle board letter and beautifully cut it into like 9 or 10 pieces. Then.....you give them a pic of you or your partner....and decide on a time that they will run into the both of you. For me, it was at the Christmas Shop in Liberty Square at 10am on a particular day. They come up to your partner and ask them if they are...so and so....then they give your special partner (wife, hubby, GF, whatever) a small gift wrapped in a package.....it says..."You have a special admirer".... nothing else...... then they walk off........she is left going....huh???? what just happened....you act dumb..and the special event is on.....
You guys want to know more?????????????

Maybe the campfire at FW...find the movie schedule in the camping part of the board and go on a night when a favorite movie of ya'lls is playing...its kinda simple, but still could be romantic sitting under the stars and watching a fav disney movie...just a thought

I personally would skip the campfire at FW as romantic...kids are abundant...which you're trying to get away from kidlets for a little while. I would suggest a stroll along the sandy beach of the Polynesian with a bottle of bubbly, lay in the hammock together to watch the fireworks over the MK. Carriage rides or renting watercraft to spend time alone. Leisurely strolling around world showcase at dusk, watching illuminations with your arms wrapped around her, Illuminations Cruise, Wishes Cruise, finding little hidden pathways in AK, holding hands, turning her around and dancing with her in the middle of Main Street, etc.....there are so many things you can do. Have fun exploring your romantic side!
