So this is our first trip renting points.:goodvibes
We have our reservation number, and I tried to plug it in to the online ADR reservation system and it did not recognize it.

I think I have to have that number be recognized by the online ADR system to be able to get ADRs for our entire visit at one time instead of doing this day by day... :confused3 can anyone clarify this for me?

Tried calling WDW Guest services and they sent me to a number at AKV, who sent me to DVC member services where they won't talk to us because we are just renting points and are not the actual members. :rotfl:

Can anyone share with me :teacher: what the process is for making ADRs when you are renting points from DVC :littleangel: members?

A little nervous about making ADRs, :scared: don't wanna mess up the plan and we plan our days around them! :rotfl2:

Thanks in advance!:thumbsup2

Start here: http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/restaurants/

For the location you want to make an ADR for, click the 'Book a Reservation' button. Once the booking page loads, look for:
Resort Guests & Dining Plan
If you have a Resort reservation or would like to associate your Disney Dining Plan to your dining reservations, please retrieve your resort reservation. (Please be advised that not all restaurants participate in the Disney Dining Plan. Please check your Dining Plan information for participating restaurants.) Retrieve your reservation.
Click on the words 'Retrieve your reservation'. There you will enter the room confirmation number and a some other information. This will allow you to make up to 10 days worth of ADRs when you are 180 days out from check-in.

Your other option is to call the main dining line at 407-WDW-DINE. They also can make 10 days worth of ADRs at 180 days from check-in if you give them the room confirmation number.

It should work just fine when making your dining reservations (I assume you're talking about in the dining site where you "associate" your reservation). Might just be a system problem going on .

You're not going to be able to talk to DVC about it.

But there's no reason it shouldn't work. If you can't get it to work, I would just call on the phone and make your reservations to get the +10 for on-site guests. If it's already within 180 days of your trip, there's no need to connect your reservation # to the dining reservations at all.

By looking at your signature I'm guessing you are tying to book ADRs for starting Oct. 17...you have to wait 5 more days to book your ADRs. It's 180 days..not 6 months! When it's time you just need the DVC confirmation number and the LEAD GUEST's name. Depending on how the owner listed you guys it could be you or another adult!

Good Luck!

Thanks!
Yes, I know I have 5 more days before I can make an ADR, I just wanted to see if the system recognized my reservation number and it did not. :confused3
So if it does not recognize my trip reservation number, and Adrian at guest services on the telephone could not confirm my reservation because she deals with resort reservations, not DVC reservations, that has me wondering...

I did not want to wait 5 more days and then panic if something exactly like this happened...
Better for me to work out the kinks now instead of then...

We have an email in to our DVC host, which I hope will help:thumbsup2

Do DVC members make ADRs online or is there a special way that DVCers have to do this?

Thanks again!!!
:thanks:

You should be able to see your reservation at this link:

https://secure.reservations.disney....s/processEngine?process=false&pageRender=true

I think this gets you there as well:
http://www.mydisneyreservation.com/dvc/

DVC members can make their ADRs online, with Dining or with Member Services. I used all online for my last trip -- it works just fine. It could be something as simple as a misspelling of your name, a system glitch, who knows.

I don't think your DVC owner is going to be able to help you with this if you have the confirmation with the # on it (because they won't have any information to fix it) - unless you want them to call Member Services and make your ADRs for you.

I make my ADRs tomorrow and so yesterday I tried to log into the system just to make sure it would work as this is our first DVC stay and I am glad to report it worked just fine. One important thing to mention is that you have to use the drop down box to select the resort you are staying at. We are staying at BCV however, at first I selected just the Beach Club and this did not work. I quickly realized that I had selected the wrong resort and needed to select Beach Club Villas and then it worked perfectly. So make sure that you are selecting the correct resort. Good Luck!!!!

Thank you everyone!!!!!

I'm going to try out those links tonight... do a dry run so to speak and I'll let you knowhow it turns out...
Thanks again!!!

Thanks again everyone- the online ADR system worked well and i was able to get the ADRs I wanted for all 5 nights!!!:cool1:
