Need help quickly! January experts,don't hate me for asking!

I need some quick help. Because of a Southwest Ding, DD and i may try to book a last minute trip for Jan 3-8. We will be staying with family at PORS for FR and Sat. We are hoping to get a studio the night of the 8th (a Thursday night), and also a studio for Su and Mo night. Don't care which resort,and here comes the dreaded ???, What are my chances of booking this late? ( of course it's Sunday so can't call member services)

Lots of marathoners will be arriving on Thursday, Jan 8 since the expo starts on the 8th and the 5K race in on Friday morning at 7AM. Could be difficult this late.

I just had my waitlist come through yesterday for that week 1/6-11 at BCV - as have some others here, I think you will be able to find something at SSR. Give it a try!

Jan 8th is a Tuesday? I know because I just tried to book a studio for Thursday Jan. 10th & there was absolutely nothing available. I didn't think Jan was a busy month, but then again I didn't know there was a big marathon. Oh well I waitlisted so I'm hoping something comes through. Good luck!

We needed Jan 9 and 10 at SSR. Called last week to reserve, no availability so waitlisted. The waitlist was filled within 3 days.

I called today and got SSR for the 4th through the
8th. They told me they had a studio available for all four nights although I booked a 1 bedroom for two of the nights

I think people call and cancel all the time. We are BC and BW people but it will be fun to try something different. It keeps all our trips exciting
