We have been to WDW many times. We have enjoyed the CBR and the CR. We are planning our next trip and we cannot decide between the Poly or BC. We have a 13 year old who really likes the arcade at the Contemporary, but we were a little dissapointed in the snack bar. We usually like to grab a bowl of cereal in the am before we head to the parks so we only did chef mickeys once and ate at the snack bar the rest of the times. I felt there was not enough seating and was too crowded. This was in the first week of December and the crowds in the park were small so I just felt like this was a gliche of the CR. Does anyone have any advice about the gamerooms at the poly or bc? and also any info on breakfast's at both places.

Arcade at the Poly was nice with a variety of games. Captn Cooks was never crowded last year in Nov and had good food and snacks for people on the go. Do not know about the BC ( I know the do not have a 24hr snack place like Poly) yet ,but, I will in 3 weeks.:Pinkbounc Most of the time at the Poly we had breakfast at capt cooks: cereal, bagel, muffin, coffee etc. We also had 2 great breakfast meals at Kona and Ohanas

My kids enjoyed the arcade at the Poly. We also ate at Capn Cooks quite a bit while we were there. They have a decent variety of breakfast options and plenty of seating inside and outside. We also ate at O'hanas for breakfast which was good and we ate dinner at Kona which we LOVED!! We stayed 1 night at the BC and found the dining options to be very limited. We tried Beaches and Cream for dinner 1 night and it was very crowded. Also, no easy way to use refillable mugs! The Poly is our favorite (my kids were 17, 9 & 2 1/2 on our last trip and they loved it)!

I agree with the other posters. We split our stay this summer between the Poly and the BC. It would be a lot easier to have a quick breakfast at the Poly than the BC. The BC is extremely limited in quick dining options unless you walk over to the Boardwalk. I looked at the game rooms at both places and I think the Poly also wins on this one too. The best aspects of the BC are the pool and its location within walking distance to Epcot and a boat ride away from MGM. It's great for dining in the evening because it's so close to all the restaurants on the Boardwalk and Epcot.

Beaches and Cream at the BC does do a self serve cold breakfast(cereal, donuts, muffins, bagels, yogurt, milk, juice and a few other items). You can eat inside, outside near the pool, or take it back to your room. Coffee and tea are self serve also, if you purchase a cup or refillable mug.Soda, lemonade and ice-tea are behind the counter and require a counter person to get it for you. This is fine in the AM but can be a problem on a hot afternoon for a refill because you have to wait in the take out line(take out is ice-cream,food,and drink) and this line can be a LONG wait. We stayed at the BWV this summer for 12 nites and only once did I have a half-hour wait,it was usually 10 minutes. The boardwalk also has a bakery and they serve a few hot breakfast items(breakfast sandwiches). Also from the BC it is a "short" walk to my favorite bakery Epcots FountainView. (Try the tulip fruit cup-delicious!)Beaches and Cream is also an excellent stop for lunch or dinner! The Dolphin also has Tubbis Bufferteria(sp?) which is pretty good for a hot breakfast and I have heard (but not tried) that they have excellent pizza! If you would like to try the BC to be near Epcot and MGM(it is an excellent location!) I think you would be fine! Two more things, the store in the BC now carries a great selection of food and snacks(because of the BCV's) and there is a BIG arcade right next to Beaches and Cream.;) I would enjoy my coffe each AM by the pool while my 8 year old son visited the arcade.
