Starting to plan my stay for this September (for Night of Joy).....am thinking of staying doing a split stay, but need help deciding what to do. We will have a car, so transportation is not an issue.

Will be checking in Sept 7th (Wed), and out the 11th (Sun). My friend and I are going to be doing MGM & EPCOT Thurs & Fri, and I know I want to stay on the Monorail for the Fri & Sat nights, as those are the nights for NOJ, and it will be great to just jump on the monorail that late and head "home".

So, here's my dilema....2 nights at each place....
Option 1: Stay at POR, then Concierge Garden at Poly
Option 2: Stay at POR, then Garden at Poly (non Concierge)
Option 3: Stay at Yacht/Beach, then Garden at Poly (neither Concierge)

I don't know if Concierge is really worth it....I'm not looking at lagoon view at Poly, as no WISHES those nights - also not much of a difference in $ btwn lagoon view & garden concierge. Biggest plus I can think of for Concierge is to be able to do the special AK tour (anyone know how much that costs?). I also like the idea of being able to have a glass of wine before heading over to MK for the concerts, but does that justify the additional expense of concierge service?

I know that Option 2 would be the least amount of $, but I want this to be an experience too.

TIA for any thoughts/feedback! :disrocks:

Having seen the crowds on NOJ (by pure accident, as we where scrabbling to get out, in a rainy 2001), (and it still had 2 hours before starting, people where being let in at 4pm). I would reccommend you seriously consider Contempary for the ease of WALKING to and from the MK. Obviously from your choices the tower must be in your budget, so that would be wonderful. Or stay in the garden wing for all 4 days and not have to move, the bus ride is not that far to the other parks.

Something to consider, MKY princess:

For that many nights, I would not move!!!! I think the monorail might not be a great idea because of all of the people using both of them to get to the parking lot. CR might be a good idea or how about the WL for the whole time. Transporation was excellent for us when we stayed there (which was Thnaksgiving weekend). WL concierge would probably be in your budget, too.The boat rode to Mk is quick and you only have to be concerend with the people actually staying there.

Just noticed you will have a car-even better. You can valet at your resort and they will bring it right to you when you are ready to go the to the parks. The boat ride to MK from WL is really nice!

I also wouldn't split a stay that short. I also don't think you need concierage since you will probably be in the parks most of the time. We loved staying in the CR North Garden Wing.

Yacht/Beach Club will have the easiest access for Epcot and MGM.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by the AK tour, but I think you might be talking about the AK sunrise safari? We are taking it in August and it is about $50 per person. However, I'm pretty sure you can only take the AK safari if you are staying specifically at the AK concierge.
