We are planning a trip (driving from NJ) with our 16 y.o., 14 y.o. and 11y.o. in August. We'd like to do one day in each park at WDW (4 days - prefer to stay in a Deluxe hotel - likely the Polynesian or Contemporary). This is the first time we are adding Universal to our itinerary. We would like to switch hotels and stay on property at US. And one day my husband and son (the 11 y.o.) would like to go to Legoland. I am assuming it would be most cost effective to stay the extra night at US vs. the Polynesian.

How many days is sufficient for US? Two of my three kids prefer gentler rides, shows, and the like. While the 14 y.o. loves thrill rides. Will there be enough for the non-thrill riders to do at US?

Any suggestions for how to fit in the day of Legoland? What I can do with my girls? I have always planned our disney trips but haven't been there in a few years now and feel overwhelmed trying to satisfy their varied tastes. Thanks for any help.

We went to WDW and universal. I booked 1 night at the RPR, so we had express passes, they include then on the day of arrival and the following day. We arrived early, around 7.30am, left our luggage and went to the parks. You can walk from RPR. I thought 2 days was fine. If you gave enough you can return to the hotel and go to the pool.

When your DH and son go to Legoland you could go to Disney Springs for the day, shopping, or visit some of the WDW hotels. Perhaps have an ice cream at beaches and cream and stroll along the Boardwalk.
