Need help planning transfer

I am looking to do a transfer for the first time and I was looking for input to make sure I do it at the right time so that I can use the points and not lose them. I need the pts for X month 2012 and I want them from my home resort so I get the 11 month booking advantage. When and what do I write for my post for the R/T board? TIA!

Just use the title "Transfer Wanted" and any particulars you want to include (like number of points, Home Resort).
