Well here we go again...

Need help planning, :goodvibes Going to Disney (all star music) August 26th to Sept 1. After much hemming and hawing, :rotfl: finally booked, can't take the suspense any longer, should I or shouldn't I.... Just did it. . DH said, I knew you would.. thinks he's smart! lol:rolleyes1

Anyway, Its, DH, Me and DD8 (adhd, aspergers, ocd...the whole alphabet game) It might also be another family with their son 8 who also has the same problems as DD.

We weren't crazy about Coral Reef  last year, slow service, sat in the back , couldn't really see the fish...

What I need help planning is the times and places... we aren't park hopping, as that is too much for DD.

So here goes:
So far what I have planned is:
8/26 arrival..nothing yet
8/27 MGM has late hours.. Sci fi for shakes and Prime time table service
8/28 Ohana's for breakfast (lilo and stitch are dd's favorite)
8/29 Late hours Animal kingdom... Whispering Canyon for Dinner
8/30 Early Hours Magic Kingdom.. Crystal Palace for lunch.. Character meal?
8/31 NOthing yet

What do you guys think? :confused3 I need suggestions for 2 more counter meals. DOes my plan look doable? I haven't found anything really in Epcot that I want to eat. We love epcot... Soarin rocks:cloud9: And DD always does the passport thing...

Thanks everyone!

I bumping this up.. i really need some advice.. pretty please with pixie dust?:goodvibes

What time do you arrive? If early enough, maybe play in pool, or go to Epcot and see the aqurium and Nemo ride.

We have trouble with late hours, too many people. We tried to get to the parks early, but too tired and the time change was too much. DS would have done much better early at the parks.

If you go to AK, do it early in the morning, it gets very hot and it is a huge park. Our ds was totally fried and freaking out by mid afternoon. I'd head back to resort for down time before Whispering Canyon

For MK, get there early too. You may not have the crowds we just had, but our ds does much better early, as meds have kicked in and his parents are not as cranky!!!

My advice as you can see, is get there early, use FastPass for your important rides and be flexible. We ended up changing our plans as ds was just not able to deal with the crowds.

Hope this helps some. Read my trip report with link in my signature for some of our misadventures!!!

Hi Debbie, just read your trip report and loved it and all your pictures! I also didn't love Boma. NOt sure what time we are arriving, as we are driving down from New York :dance3: . We usually play everything depending on DD's moods. We know not to rush her. Even if we have something planned, if it doesn't seem to be the day for it, it gets cancelled. I'm trying to plan our meals and it's so difficult doing the ADR's.:scared:

Thanks for your input!:goodvibes

Just in case you didn't know, free dining is being offered to the general public on Thursday, April 12th, for the time period that you are going to be there. So, make sure you call back and have them apply the discount to your current vacation.

Hi Trentmom,

Thankyou for that!.:goodvibes .... BUT I'm a DISER! :surfweb: lol been haunting the codes board waiting and waiting, finally couldn't wait any longer!:cool1:

Why not eat at the Garden Grill at Epcot. We have eaten there 4 times and will be going again in June. The food and service is good. If your kids dont' want the food served to the adults, they also have a different menu for the kids. The characters come around to the tables quite often and really do a good job interacting with the kids.

Are you guys going to Downtown Disney? If you have a WDW Magic Your Way package, you will be getting a Planet Hollywood voucher. Planet Hollywood is a hit with our entire family. We have eaten there at least a half dozen times and everything has always been good.

Have a safe trip and eat some good food! Lisa

You're welcome. I know how hard it is to wait for a code to book.

But, no biggie. Just call Thursday morning and have them reapply the code to your vacation........

Have a great trip!!!
