Planning my meals is really stressing me out. This I our first trip, and I can't decide when to do what.

The only dinners I know for sure that I want to do are Chef Mickey and Cinderella's castle. I have decided that we will probably eat every breakfast in our room, since we aren't big breakfast eatters, and do all of our lunches and dinners in the parks.

The day that we go to MK, I plan on bringing my DD to BBBoutique in the morning so she can be dressed up all day, but should I do Cinderella's RT for lunch or dinner? I've heard the cast of Cinderella is for dinner and all the princesses for lunch. Also, MK is what my DD is looking forward to most, should we go there the first day or save it???

I think I may want to do the Luao at the PR.

We are on the dining plan. I'm thinking that we will probably be using our quick service for lunch and table service for dinner's.

Any and all suggestions are GREATLY appreciated!!

Sounds a lot like what my family does on our trips. We’re not very big breakfast eaters so we have our coffee and whatever else if anything in the room while we get ready. Depending on what we have planned that day we normally do CS lunch and TS dinner, much like you are planning.

You said it is your first trip? If your DD is looking forward to MK the most maybe do that first. As for CRT I can not help in suggestions there other then ask yourself which your family would enjoy more, all princesses or the cast of Cinderella.

I would be glad to offer any advice that may make your trip more enjoyable. Can you give me some background (i.e. length of stay, ect..) For example, if EPCOT is in your plans, do that first befor MK.

I definitely feel (in my opinion) that all first trip-ers should go to MK on their first day in WDW!! It's such a magical experience to walk down Main Street towards the castle, and on your first trip, it's even more magical ;) I feel it is a wonderful way to begin your vacation!
Being on the DDP, I think it is a good plan to have the breakfast in the room (or you can use snack credits towards bagels, cereal, etc.), CS lunch, and TS dinner. Not knowing what kinds of foods you enjoy, or which parks you are definitely going to, or resort you are staying at, makes it hard to give specific suggestions; however, I would make the suggestion that try to plan dinner around which park you will be visiting at night. Eat in the park or one of the resorts right near the park.

the line up is the same for all three meals. Cinderella meets guests downstairs. There are four princesses and/or leading ladies moving around the tables meeting guests. The cast of Cinderella are at the 1900 Park Fare dinner.

Our daughter did BBB last year and then CRT and she felt special. We've only done lunch and are happy with that. The princesses were not at the dinner until a little over a year ago.

We also do Chef Mickey's but that is a late breakfast/brunch for us. I can't comment on dinner.

Some other places our kids like:

Rain Forest Cafe/T-Tex in Downtown Disney
Biergarten in Epcot
Teppan Edo in Epcot
Tusker House breakfast (character meal) in Animal Kingdom
50s Prime Time Cafe in Hollywood Studios
Sci Fi Dine Inn in Hollywood Studios

For our recent first family trip to WDW, we went to the MK first & last. I plan to do that on our next trip, too. We ate at Chef Mickey's- dinner, Main Street Bakery (in MK)- breakfast, Hoop Dee Doo Revue- dinner, Garden Grill- dinner, Hollywood & Vine (w/Fantasmic! Pkg)- dinner, Wolfgang Express- lunch, La Cantina de San Angel- dinner, Boulangerie Patisserie- dessert, Crystal Palace- breakfast, CRT- dinner, and Earl of Sandwich- dinner. I don't regret any of these choices. We ate at the food court at Pop Century a lot more than I though we would.

We plan our parks first -- trying to choose when they will be least crowded, or working around EMH and evening entertainment schedules. Then I make my ADRs. I usually like my TS for dinner, but sometimes we will do a late breakfast or an early lunch, depending on what our schedule looks like and the menu options. We're not big breakfast eaters, but the kids really like breakfast foods, so the late breakfast works well for us, once or twice per trip. On the other days we have something in the room -- cereal, fruit, granola bars, etc.

MK -- Crystal Palace (usually the latest breakfast seating, as brunch)
EP -- Akershus dinner, Teppan Edo lunch or dinner, Biergarten lunch or dinner
AK -- we do CS here if we're not going to the Tusker House character breakfast, and save our TS for somewhere else -- I've heard Yak & Yeti is good but haven't tried it
DHS -- Sci Fi lunch, 50's Prime Time lunch or dinner (when DD was younger we'd do the last breakfast seating at Holly & Vine, or the first lunch, for the characters)

RESORTS -- Hoop De Doo at Ft Wilderness, 'Ohana or Kona at the Poly, Chef Mickey's at the CR for breakfast or dinner (we like to get the last breakfast on our 'sleep in' day), 1900 Park Fare at the GF, Boma at AKL

It sounds like you have a good start, and know some places you want to go. I have 3 girls; our twins are turning 8 when we go in June, and they picked CRT for their birthday dinner. We went for breakfast a few years ago, they loved it! Don't forget, CRT takes 2 table service credits on the DDP. You only get 1 table service per person per night, so that would be like using 2 days worth of table service. You didn't say how many nights you were staying, but I would also recommend 'Ohana at the Poly, Crystal Palace at MK, and Teppan Edo at Epcot. We have eaten at each of them and my girls loved them. They are all great for kids. The DDP is great; my advice is to make a chart showing each day, when and where you are eating. That always helps me to keep up with the credits!:)
