Ok, so I don't know where to begin. We have always been to Disney and don't have a clue about Universal or Sea World. We are staying off property at Orange Lake Resort. It will be myself, husband, 15yr., 5 yr., 4 yr., older brother & nana. We are going June 5th - 12th. We plan on doing a flex ticket going to US, IOA, SW, Wet'n Wild, & Aquatica. I have alot of questions.

1. How busy are these parks compared to Disney this time of year?

2. Will there be plenty for our younger sons to do?

3. Where to eat?

4. How long are wait times usually this time of year?

5. Do we need strollers? We do at Disney, but these parks don't seem as large, & the rides seem closer together. Would we be just pushing a few steps inbetween rides and then parking? Is it worth it to have strollers?

6. What are the best snack options here?

I know this is alot of questions, but any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I'll try to answer a few for ya..
1)It starts to get busy withe the schools letting out..Get there early..
2)There is plenty at the studios and IOA for the young ones..
3)Studios counter service-Louies Pizza,Sit down Finnegans..my opinion only
4)Not so bad in the morning(before 11) after that all bets are off..
5)Parks are not that big, but the younger ones can tire easly.Plus the heat doesnt help..
6)That I cant answer, but my kids get the refillable popcorn container!!

I would go to the stickys at the top of the forum and study them. There is a wealth of info to be found there!!!:thumbsup2

Refillable popcorn? my kids would love that, can you take it back to the room?
My kids were 7 and 4 the last time we went and they loved it all. Get there early like everyone else said and go on the rides 1st. Then later hit the shows like shrek and jimmy neutron.
Also try and eat at odd times, the restaurants get packed at normal lunchtime and it ended up being a long wait, which made the hungry kids miserable. The water play area is a great place for them to cool off.
Strollers are always a good idea for kids when it is hot out, I say definately bring them. It is a VERY long walk from the garages to the parks for young kids.
You could also let them watch some of the movies before you go so they might enjoy the rides better. Like ET or Men in Black.
Be careful with what you take them on also, some can be scary. My 4 yr old loved the Mummy but was so scared in Twister we had to leave.
You will all have a great time. Enjoy

Very true. When my DS at the time was 10.hated the dark.So T-2 was out and so was Twister..Good idea, let them watch the movies that way they can get the idea of the rides!!!
The refillable popcorn bucket is a great deal..I think its like the drink cup,the refills are (I think around 2.99)and can be used for the whole trip!!

Great idea about the refillable popcorn. And also the sticky at the top. Sorry, I didn't see that. My kids love the water areas at Disney so I'm sure they will there too. Is there a restaurant review section for IOA, US, or SW. THanks
