We are going from a Tuesday to a Sunday. Tuesday and Wednesday night we are staying at Comfort Inn Suites right outside Universal. Thurs, Fri and Saturday nights at HRH.

Our plane lands in Orlando at 10:30 am on Tuesday and our plane leaves Sunday at 2:30pm.

Arrival day, we have front row tickets to Blue Man Group at 8:00 p.m. The kids would like to go see the ocean so we figured on going to Cocoa Beach (closest from what I have read) on Wednesday and spending Thurs ,Fri & Sat at US/IOA and enjoying HRH.

Now I am wondering what we are going to do between checking in at hotel and BMG. Do you think it would make sense to go from airport straight to Cocoa Beach? That would free up Wednesday to do something else possibly? I don't think either of my kids will swim in the ocean, probably just walk the beach and site see. I think a couple hours at the beach will probably be enough, unless they have other things there to do (mini golf, go-carts, etc).... This trip is supposed to be laid back, no ADRS, no getting up early and going commando at the parks...but I also don't want to waste time either.

Any tips?:goodvibes

We also have BMG our arrival night and I've been wondering what to do- pool time? Hop into US/IOA? Like you, I'm really aiming for a relaxing- no rushing- trip!

That said, I think that stopping at a beach and still trying to make it to your hotel, check-in, eat, and get to BMG would not be the best way to start out. It seems to me, that you'd be constantly looking at your watch to make sure you got back in time which is NOT the way to start a stress-free vacation! If it were me, I think I'd save it for later in the trip!

Looking at your dates, if it were me, I'd go to the hotel on Tuesday, check in, swim. Then I'd head to CityWalk for dinner/BMG. You could even go earlier and check out the other hotels!

Wednesday you still are at an off-site hotel which means no FOTL privelege- I would use this day for a peaceful beach day. Then you could spend as long as you like there and let the kids hop on a go-cart or play in the arcade if they want to.

Thursday-Saturday can be all US/IOA days! You should even have time Sun morning to hit a few favorites before your flight. Then you can enjoy the parks without rushing or waiting in line plus the kids have had their beach day.

Just my thought!

That's kind of what I was thinking too! I am pretty sure I would be watching the clock not wanting to be late and allowing enough time for dinner :goodvibes

I was just worried there wouldn't be enough to do at the beach for an entire day and we would be wandering around wasting time. My kids are 16 and 12 and of the opposite sex so they have very little in common so getting them to agree on what to do should be interesting. Hopefully they will surprise me!!!

I hope you have a great trip!!!!!!!
