Need help picking resort

Im looking to upgrade our vacation because of the recent DDP special.

What is your best pick out of the Moderates?

Im looking at 6 days, 5 nights with my wife and 3 yr. old.

I keep hearing the neagative about some or all and dont know if it is worth moving up from Values. We are currently booked at the PoP Century. Thanks for your opinions.

Of the moderates, I like Caribbean the best. But, like you said they all have their positives and negatives. Caribbean is gorgeous but the internal bus makes several stops before you even leave for the parks. It took a good 20 minutes longer to do that some days. You do have the frig and coffee make though and that's a plus.

Personally, I don't upgrade to the moderates anymore. We aren't in our rooms enough and we don't hang out at the resort enough to make it worth the extra expense.
I love Pop now and that's usually where we stay so you can't go wrong there either.

I'm a fan of Caribbean Beach.

I like Carribbean Beach too, but Port Orleans is nice. We're booked at Carribbean Beach right now.

You should pick the theme you like best and go with it. That's my best advice.

I rule out CSR because the 10% food court fee pisses me off. But it is my favorite of the moderates. Very pretty.

I rule out CBR because I can't stand the cartoony rooms. But I like that place a lot and would go back there if they'd get rid of the horrible, clashing drapes and all the cartoon stuff in the room. It's fine for a day or two, but after 3 or 4 days, I start dreading having to enter the room and make up excuses to leave it.

This leaves Port Orleans resorts.

POR: I don't like the mansions area, but do like AB a lot. Unfortunately, I can't book AB and would have to take a chance staying in mansions, which I won't do.

This leaves me with POFQ, which would be my last choice, but is where I generally end up now, by process of elimination.

My favorite moderate if POFQ. CB and POR are just too big for me. I like POFQ's size, you can easily walk anywhere and we loved their pool. I also think it's worth to upgrade to a moderate.

I think alot depends on how much time your plan on spending at the resort. We love POP. But the pool is boring. My kids like the slides at the moderate. BUT is it worth the extra $$. Depends if your swimming alot. Figure out how much time spent there. We love CBR too. But get a prefered room in martinque if you go there. I have wanted to go to POFQ for 2 yrs now. Much smaller. Some day. Actually staying this August at CSR. Very excited to try a new resort. So, base the resort on how long you will be there. If not much, just upgrade your meal plan if you want TS....Just reread your post. You have a 3 yr old....stay at POP & try to get prefered.
