Heres my background. Stayed at Contemporary(Magic Kingdom view), Yacht Club(Water View), Polynesian(Garden View), and French Quarter(4 times)...We are headed back to the World again in April. I have enough time to change my reservations. We are currently booked at French Quarter again(its been 2 years since last staying there), our last trip was POLY last May. LOVED the conveinece of the monorail. I have bad knees and bad feet :sad2: so it was GREAT not having to stand in that bus line. We might be going back again in October and that is why I didn't necessarily rebook POLY. But now I am so confused about if i want to stay moderate after being spoiled with monorail. The knees, and feet still are not great. I walk fine, I just get achy sooner than most.

My options are:

Grand Floridian- I will not lie. I was always a little nervous to stay here. We are your average middle class but I just felt it looked a bit snooty. But after reading so many of your posts out there I am having a change of heart :cool1:. The building we would get is an outer building. Is it THAT FAR from main building? Tell me the PROS and CONS....

Boardwalk- Need pros and cons

Yacht Club--Again its been about 8 years since I stayed there, so PROS and CONS?

Beach Club VILLAS- How are the sleeper sofas??? How is the resort itself being in the Villa end? Pros and cons...

French Quarter---Last time we went it lost some magic BUT only because we have stayed so many times. I LOVE the resort. But I do hate the busses..Feedback please...

POLY---Love it, but should we do it again..Hello Dole Whip....Thought the pool last MAy was PACKED! But the quiet pool was also closed. But now I hear the slide is closed, :confused3

I am confused to say the least. My DH really doesn't care where we stay and when I try to bounce things off him, he just says do what I want. He is just looking forward to getting away from work. And I of course plan to hide his cell phone so no one at the office can find him

Please offer your thoughts and THANK YOU...I am in need of some help...

I didn't put down Animal Kingdom just because I have no interest and also the Wilderness because it reminds me to much of where we live..

Come on DISers need some help...Out of the ones I listed, tell me your thoughts....:wizard:

All I can offer is that the Poly pool/slide refurb is done, and the slide is back open. :goodvibes

Hard to say. We've stayed at WL, Poly, BC & AKL for deluxe. I love WL, even though for us it is a lot like home  I thought Poly had the best transportation out of these, with boat or monorail to MK, and walking distance to TTC for Epcot monorail. That left only 2 parks to bus to.

BC was also good, being able to walk to Epcot, and boat to DHS. Depends on how you feel about walking.

At any resort you'll have to take a bus to some parks, unless you limit yourself to the parks on monorail or boat.

I've heard FQ has the best bus service of the mods, with it only having 1 stop.

We stay at POR Riverside, and we use the bus stop at The Mansion section. I find it very relaxing, I just sit on the bench under the roof with a fan, and wait.

Here are the pros of the Boardwalk Inn.

In my opinion they have the best theme/atmosphere of any WDW Resorts, 5 minute walk to the International Gateway entrance of Epcot and they are the closest of the Epcot Resorts when walking to Hollywood Studios, which takes about 10 - 15 minutes. Every night from 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM they have various entertainers that perform along the Boardwalk, ESPN Club is located right there, they have the most Quick Service locations among the Epcot Resorts and I enjoy the theme of their Luna Park pool.

As for the cons personally I don't think they have any. However some people might say one is walking up the hill from their parking lot when going into their lobby. Although I honestly don't think that's a problem and if you don't have a car it won't be an issue.

I would avoid the GF/POLY because of the new DVC building which is going in at the GF. The building work has already disrupted the monorail service and it will again I am sure. I would not pay top dollar for a disrupted monorail and construction noise.

I would go with the YC or BC. YC is imo more up scale than BC/BCV and it is a shorter walk to the boats. There are some really long walks at the Board-walk plus parking is a nightmare. It does have some great eating option though.

POFQ as just been refurbished so it's rooms should look great and will all have two queen beds.

Thanks everyone, still confused, LOL....I guess I just feel I stayed at FQ so many times. Sometimes thats a good thing but I just have a feeling in my gut that is making me think about changing....

It might just come down to the 11th hour...:rotfl2:
