A little background...... We have taken our children to Disney World several times, on and off property stays. We have stayed at Pop Century & Animal Kingdom Lodge and can't remember the offsite hotels. This year was supposed to be special for my husband and I. It's our 20th Anniversary and we booked a trip to Cancun Mexico with a gorgeous oceanfront suite with jacuzzi. Booked it last April for this coming March 3... Yes I have had a countdown going for a long time.

Two weeks ago, husband went into hospital for routine hernia repair. Came home fine, 6 hours later, appeared to have a seizure (drs do not beleive it was one), called 911, ambulance ride, 4 days in hospital. Diagnosis: Atrial-Fib.

Long story short, doctor says we can travel, but I just do not feel comfortable taking him out of the country with this condition, at this point. I realize people live with this disease all the time, but with it being a new diagnosis, not sure what brought it on, and the fact they are still trying to adjust his coumadin to a therapuetic level, it justs makes me nervous.

So....... If we are going to do this anniversary trip, we need to do it the week we have scheduled (already scheduled vac with work etc), We wanted an all inclusive, no driving etc.. and I immediately thought DISNEY. It is kind of fitting since 20 years ago we did spend our honeymoon in Disny. And this would be a different trip all together compared to all the others. No kids!

So I am looking for a hotel with a nice pool ( i know, all of them) but I would really like one with a jacuzzi in the room. Our room in cancun had that and we both love to relax in them. We have to book asap with the timing here so wondering if anyone could help me out.

I called Disney and they offered me free dining if I stay in a moderate or a deluxe. Any tips would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I realize Pop isn't the luxury level of many deluxees (like Beach/Yachtclubs) but it can save you alot of mine and time. The buses are very good there for a stree free vacation. We do this all the time. We used to go to Dixie landings, but the buses were always a wait. CBR is nice. My guess is that Beach/Yacht clubs would be your best bet.:surfweb:

See if you can rent some points and stay at AKL in teh dvc portion, they have lovely jacuzzi baths and it is the most relaxing resort

I agree with the previous poster. See if you can rent points from a DVC member and stay at DVC. They have an oversized jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom. Good Luck to you! :)

Any of the DVC resorts will have a jacuzzi tub in the 1 BR units. I like the Villas at Wilderness Lodge, but check out the deluxe villa category to see what appeals to you.:goodvibes

Oooh, I just remembered the Club Level Garden Suites at the Boardwalk resort also have jacuzzi tubs. That might make for a super special adults only anniversary trip.:lovestruc

ETA and with such a short notice trip, having the IPO (Itinerary Planning Office) staff to help you might be very useful.

Being a diehard GF fan that would be my first pick butttt with some of the medical issues you guys are having one of the dvc's sound like a good bet. My friend loves the Boardwalk area but I've got to go wth the Beach Club dvc. Happy anniversary and have a wonderful trip.

Thank you everyone for the great ideas! I love the look of the boardwalk, that could be an option. I will have to check availability !

How do you rent dvc points? I have no idea what this is or where I would even begin to start...

I would go through David's rentals. It is the lowest hassle way that I know of.

I second the 1 BR at at DVC - you can always add the dining plan, too. It's probably going to be a little bit less than staying in a deluxe suite with jacuzzi tub and all of the DVC 1BRs have them. I have rented through a private owner that I found on another, all DVC board, and I have also rented through The DVC Rental Store - HTH!

You can check into renting points but it is late in the game so you may not have any luck.
If you don't mind spending the money and really want the jacuzzi in your room I would book a 1 bedroom through Disney. You might even be able to get free dining on that room too.

If you decide on a moderate I love CSR for adults only trip. There won't be a jacuzzi in your room but they have a very large hot tub by the main pool.

www.wdwig.com is a great site for looking at resort/room photos.
