Hello

Finnally replacing my 92 pop up with an o4 Jayco due here in early October. First trip for the new camper will also be my first trip to Ft Wild. I haver reservations for a preferred site for late October which should be nice. We want to be close to the marina/transportation area, but also like seclusion.

Can you guys recomend a particular loop that is nice. or a particulard site number. We will have bikes as well. I can request a specific loop with no guarantees of course, but I hate to go in blind at their mercy.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Most of the preferred sites are a little closer together--you might ask for a site away from the bus stop. That would be a little more secluded. Can't really help with sites, though, because we've only stayed in 300 and 500. I've always been happy with the sites selected by Disney, though, so you'll probably be fine.

We too have only stayed in the 500 and 300 loops. We love both, we always request the 300 loop, and get it every time. It is close to the marina and tavern, but far enoug away to keep the noise down... except for the occaisional sound of a Disney boat horn...Ah I LOVE that sound!:D

Be careful the 300 loop is a pet loop. Have to say on the last few trips it was not a clean loop. I would suggest 400, the sites are very nice yet you are close to the marina/Hall area.

All preferred loops are now pet loops. Lets hope all pet owners clean up after their little ones.

Kind of irks me when other pet owners don't clean up after their pets. I am kind of fanatical about picking up after my beagle. Believe it or not, I have had to pick up droppings from other dogs in front of my site!!! Disney is very kind to provide baggies so there really is no excuse - it is just laziness. Please don't judge us all by a few who choose to shirk their responsibilities as a pet owner.

That being said, we like the 1600 loop which is a pet loop. Kind of out of the way, but pretty close to the Meadows area.

Hey RBM Atlanta - so what kind of Jayco are you getting? We have a 2001 Kiwi - like it a lot! Cabinet quality is comparable to much more expensive rigs. You should know, you can't post a question like this on a camping board without telling us what you're getting!

We like the 1000 and 1100 loops. They are smaller (fewer sites) then other loops, but are real close to the Meadows area. They are HARD to get in the winter as we have seen the same "snowbirds" there for the last five winters seasons!:p

We stayed in Dec 02. I wanted to be close to the marina, but not right on top of it! I had first checked out (before we got there!), loop 300 but it was a pet loop and I didn't want that. Loop 200, which is next to it, was perfect! We requested a site that had the canal directly behind our site which also gave us more privacy! :) We already have decided that when we go again next Dec., we are going to request that loop again!! :bounce: Check out a FW map to get an idea...I would call Disney and have them place your loop request on your ressies ASAP!:Pinkbounc

We like the 1200 & 1300 loops, only because they are not far from pool and bike barn and campfire program. The 1400 loop is also very nice, although some of the sites are kinda small. We tag a 40 ft fifth wheel so some sites are harder to get into due to trees and placed trash cans. Some like to be closer to the docks and Trails End others like to be by the activities.. Everyone has their own preference.. Either way enjoy your vacation.:D
