We want to visit DL sometime in Nov/Dec and are pretty flexible on dates. We do need to go on a weekend...so Thurs to Sun or Sat to Tues?? something like that.

we want the lowest crowds possible since our last visit was during Thanksgiving of last year.

Thanks !!
Kim

We decided on Dec 13-17 since I wanted all the Christmas stuff up. This is a weekend plus a day and a half. I love the weekends since they are open later and have all the parades but there are always more people any weekend so keep that in mind. The new show replacing Blast also starts on Dec 9. As long as you stay away from the holiday weeks, it the best you can ask for. I just hope it is not going to be a wet winter like I have been hearing about.

Grand Californian here we come Dec 13-17 2002

I have read in several guide books that the first two weeks of December are among the slowest of the entire year. However, I would also recommend that you check first to see if there are any big conventions in town. You can do this at www.anaheimoc.org

The first weekend Dec 7th and 8th is the candle light processional this year. It may be busier than a regular off season weekend, so you may want to go with the next weekend in Dec., or a week or 2 before Thanksgiving.

The holiday event kicks off Nov 8 so anytime after that will be all the Christmas decorations.

thanks for the tips. It is so hard to figure out. It seems like its always busy at DL these last few years.

ok....we picked Nov 14-17th......what do you think???
Perfect! The weather should be nice. The crowds shouldn't be too bad. And, the Holiday decorations etc.... will be in full swing!! The only thing that may not be happening yet is the Christmas Parade, but still a great time to go!!!

I was afraid to jinx you by saying they sounded good to me.

I planned our Oct vacation back in Feb. I started by checking various weekends, decided not to go on 1st weekend in Oct because it was "Gay Days" and that would bring in extra crowds, skipped the second weekend becasue it was Columbus Day and that would bring in extra crowds and thought the 3 rd weekend should be perfect. Started asking questions about the dates, everyone said "Great choice". Well, turns out I forgot to consult the Hunting schedule and our vacation is the opening of my husbands deer AND Elk hunt. He wasn't very pleased. And now.....the Angels won their division and are going to the World Series, first game to start when.........ooooooo that would be the Saturday we are in ANAHEIM.....uuuuuuggggggghhhhhhhh

Just goes to show you nothing is ever how it is planned. Anyhoo, those do seem like nice dates and you will be on vacation at DISNEYLAND. What could be so great as that.

Just as when we plan for WDW.....just hope for the best. It does always seem to work out.
Your right....we are on vacation and not at work !!;)
