Need help picking color for shirts

I was hoping those that have done the printing of shirts could give me an idea of the best colors for the two pictures below:

and

I am looking to do these shirts for my family and all the pictures are done (each person has a different villian and hero), but now looking to think of best unisex color.

I want to give credit to Marion for helping me with my ideas.

Currently I am thinking of a deep red for the villian and blue for the hero.

Any suggestions?
