I'll be going to WDW July 30-Aug 7 to celebrate my graduation. My aunt works for Hilton and has offered to place our reservation for us at a employee/family rate. :D I need to order the hotels in my order of preference to help her find us the perfect hotel room, but I have no idea which Hilton to pick!

It will just my fiance and I and we will be flying in. We are getting 7 day one-park-per-day tickets and and will have two half days to explore WDW and enjoy the hotel. The hotels we're looking at are:
-DTD Hilton
-Hilton Bonnet Creek
-Double Tree Suites
-Hampton Inn Orlando/Lake Buena Vista
-Homewood Suites
-Hilton Garden Inn

Which hotel would you recommend? How would you rank these hotels?

Thanks!

Out of the list you present my choice would be the Hilton Bonnet Creek. It is a resort with a wonderful pool and nice dining options. Second would the DTD Hilton that would include access to EMH hours. We always rent a car so I cannot comment on the shuttle service at either resort.

The others you list are simply basic budget chain or budget suite hotels. While I am sure there is nothing wrong with them I would not want to spend a vacation there unless it was something where you are spending all night and day in the parks and only returning to sleep.

I don't know your budget but you may want to look at The Waldorf. It is Hilton branded, great service has a nice adult pool with cabanas and you can use the lazy/river pool at the adjacent Hilton Bonnet Creek. You may want to ask you relative about the resort fees that are added to rates at all the Hilton locations (not the budget chains).

We have stayed at Hilton Bonnet Creek and loved it. The pool is amazing! The onsite restaurant La Luce is wonderful too!

There are only 2 things I would change about it - the shuttle service and the lack of balcony rooms. The shuttle makes lots of stops and it seemed to take forever to get anywhere. However, I don't like the Disney buses either, so take that for what it's worth. We usually rent a car if we stay at Hilton Bonnet Creek.

I think the Waldorf has balconies, but I'm not positive. Our view from Bonnet Creek gave us a perfect view of fireworks. I can't remember if it was Magic Kingdom or Epcot. I would have loved to have sat on a balcony to watch them.

Given the amount of time that I would have sat on a balcony...I'd still return to Hilton Bonnet Creek in a heartbeat! It is a beautiful resort.

Wherever you stay...enjoy!

my choices.

HBC number one as it is new and has a fantastic pool and romantic for a couple

Hilton DtD for its location

Double tree DTD for its location

I would not pick the rest.

I would pick DTD Hilton. It is directly a crossed the street from Downtown Disney. The busing system for the DTD hotels to the parks is awesome and reliable (runs every 30 mins). Plus you get the extra magic hours at DTD Hilton.

Unless you plan on renting a car, I wouldn't even consider the others (except Doubletree Suites DTD as it's in the same group of hotels so has the same good busing system). I'm sure they may be nice, but if you are planning on going to Disney 7 days, you will want reliable hassle free transportation.

PS: It's super convenient to be able to walk to DTD. My DH and I would walk there almost every evening. There's so much entertainment at night. Plus the dining options are great.
