We won a contest & are getting 1 day 2 park tickets. Just need to buy my DS (5) online. What do you suggest I do ride / park wise to get the most out of the day. We are going Sat 9/13 which I hope won't be too full. We're planning on getting there when the parks open until it closes & renting a stroller just in case DS gets tired. The musts so far are Spiderman, Mummy, Simpsons, Jimmy Neutron. Barney, Terminator, ET, Men in Black, Jaws, Popeye's, Hulk, Seus Land rides & leave for last Fievel playground. Can this be done in one day ? We are staying at the Holiday Inn about 1.5 miles away. We're getting to Orlando on Friday so we can rest, hit the pool to be ready for Saturday's crazy day. Any suggestions would be really welcome.

It sounds like you already have a good idea of what you want to do. I don't think you'll run into huge crowds in September and if the lines start to get too long, you can always purchase the Express passes.

The parks are only open until 6pm on that date. They open at 9. Get to the parking garage around 8. Regular parking is currently $12.00 and Preferred parking (it's on the same level as CityWalk and the parks so you don't have to deal with escalaters or elevators) is currently $17.00. Be at the front gate when they open so that you can get right in.Single strollers are currently $13.00 and Double Strollers are currently $21.00. There are also what are called Kiddie Strollers. These have little steering wheels on them. The Single Kiddie Stroller is currently $16.00 and the Double Kiddie Stroller is currently $24.00.

My suggestion, because of the weather. You're coming when the parks are going to be slow. The rain usually starts in the early afternoon and it can cause a hamper on your day. The outside attractions don't always close during the rain, depends on the severity and how close the thunder and lightning are. So, you should be good. But, I would definately start your day with Islands of Adventure. Especially since three of the must go on rides are the Hulk, Suess Landing and Bluto's. There is only one ride in Suess that is indoors. Everything else is outdoors. You also seem to want to ride more attractions in Universal. I would definately start your day at Islands. Get the must do rides done there and then head to the other park to avoid not riding those.

When you get to Universal, I would head straight to Fievel's since this area also seems very important to you. All but ET, is outside. Again, to avoid not being able to experience this area, I would do this early. I also see that you want to ride Jaws. This is also an outside attraction. I really suggest doing this earlier in the day. If I were you and you don't mind walking around in the rain, purchase some Ponchos before heading to the parks. It can be done in one day as long as you're there early enough.

Express helps, but the lines are not extremely long right now. You also don't have to buy them as soon as you get to the park. If you pick up a park map at the front, there's a list of the merchandise locations. There's an E located next to the merchandise locations that sell the Express throughout the park so you don't have to walk back to the front of the park. There should also be two Guest Services locations inside both parks. One is in front of Jurassic Park River Adventure, the Mystic Fountain, at the exit of Shrek 4-D and in between Fear Factor and MIB that you can also purchase Express at or if you have any problems. Remember, it's the outside rides that could close during the rain. Most of Universal's rides are inside.

As for the ticket for your little one, if you're a FL resident, it's only $64.99 for one-day/two-park. There's a small discount offered online if you're not a Florida Resident, but you could also check with your local AAA office. Their prices are usually very reasonable. Hope you enjoy your visit and hope this helped.
