Your dining meal plan coincides with your resort nights. You stay 6 nights and you get 6 credits in each category per each person. My problem has to do with your check-out day and rollover credits. I know we will have leftover credits for our check-out date. We plan to be in the parks that 7th day which is our last day there; so, we bought an extra day's worth of park tickets for all of us. In this case, we bought 7 days worth of park tickets per person. I know we won't have problems with the park tickets. What's concerning me are the credits leftover from the dining plan which I know we will have left on our 7th day. I'm afraid you won't be able to use the dining credits on the 7th day, if you check-out. Since it coincides with your nights there techically you are past your time. You got 6 nights of credits, not 7.

Another thread talked about how this family was unable to use credits on their last day. Fortunately, before they sat down for their meal they asked for their credits to be checked out. To everyone's dismay, no credits were left and there should have been 3 TS meals available to use. Management got involved, too. The family did have problems a few times with the magnetic strip on the card; so, no one could determine what happened, here. I don't think the family was mistaken about the credits, either. Management said they would have to pay for the meal; so, they left. Their issue is still unresolved. Anyway, this got me thinking that it may have happened because they checked out the last day and the room key isn't valid anymore for the dining credits since it's linked to the dining package.

I've heard of people from these boards using their credits on their last day but they may not have checked out yet when they did it. I really want to spread my 6 days of credits over 7 days but I'm thinking you can't do it. Has anyone out there done this? Would you please share.

Your credits are available to you until 11:59pm on the day of check out. Say you check at 11:00am Friday then you credit are good until 11:59pm Friday Night. HTH and makes sense.

we checked out on May 1st, automatic check out cause we had no balance. We left our room at 9:30 in the morning. Used our last 12 snack credits after. Ate 3 counter service meals at 3 pm and used another few snack credits up then.

and had 3 CS credits and 5 snack credits left. I think what is important is that you need to check your receipts each time you use the dining plan to be sure that the number of remaining credits (be they CS or TS or snack) showing at the bottom of the receipt is correct. We had bkfst at Cape May our last day (after checking out) and our server charged us for 4 TS meals instead of 3 and we pointed it out and it was fixed immediately.

Our problem has to do with the remaining 3 CS credits and 5 snack credits we had when we were done. I tried to get lunch for us before leaving for our flight home and the CM at Hurricane Hannah's at the BC couldn't get my card to swipe right. Tried DH's card and that wouldn't work either. Apparently there are issues with the stripe and we would have had to go back to our home resort to fix it (but we were leaving for the airport). Had to leave there and buy 2 lunches for my boys and head out.

I have contacted Guest Services about this and am hoping for some resolution. I know that many people find they have leftover credits because they just could not eat that much or just didn't want it, but in our case, we tried to use it and the machines would not let us. All I want is replacement vouchers to use for lunch during our November trip (nothing more than I paid for). I'm willing to let the snack credits go if necessary; not a big deal since we did very well on the plan even with the problem.

Your credits are good until the end of the day you check out, not the time of check out. Many people don't leave until later in the day and they know this so your credits are available. You just can't charge to your room.

Is this a new thing, because I charged to my room after check-out in December last year?

Is this definately right? I've booked 7 nights, so I'll only get 7 table-service meals, despite being there 8 days?

(I only booked this trip 2 days ago, and already I'm getting confused by the dining plan. :p )

Yes, that is correct. The dining plan ties in with the number of *nights booked not with the number of days.

I look at it this way: our arrival day and departure day can be treated as one day since we won't be there for 3 meals either day. We'll only be eating dinner on our arrival day and will eat only breakfast and lunch on our departure day. It should work out okay for us.

I have charged to my room frequently after checkout -- including my trip in April. I think the poster who stated room charging wasn't available after checkout is mistaken, or there was some abnormal issue which prevented her group to charge.
