It will be me, DH, and our boys, all age 7. We are doing mostly character breakfasts in the morning, but I have scheduled several signature meals for at night and am second guessing that decision. Here's what we have:

Artist Point
Coral Reef
California Grille
Le Cellier
Waves of American Flavor
Hollywood Brown Derby

We do have Deluxe plan, but just worried this will be too much.

I was considering:

-Garden Grille, but thought breakfast here would be better
Tutto Italiana
Akershus
San Angel Inn
Saanaa
GF cafe

We have the following already for breakfast:
CRT
Crystal Palace
O'Hana
Donald's Tusker house
Minnie's Cape May Cafe
BoG lunch

Any suggestions??

Should I nix Brown Derby and/or le cellier? DH is looking forward to Artist point and Cali Grille

Have you thought about a dinner show in place of one of the signatures? SOA and HDDR are both great, your boys would probably get a bigger kick out of HDDR.

Have you considered Jiko? It is one of our favorites.

I am a fan of Le Cellier but if I was going to spend 2 table services on a signature meal I would nix that and try to get Narcoossee's.

They Might like Sci fi over Brown Derby, that hurt me to say . THB is my favorite. 7yr boys I would pick Whispering Canyon over CRT.

We thought about that, but we're concerned doing an outdoor show in early January when it might be cold.

I have done both, but years ago. I loved HBD, but you are probably right and our boys will like Sci Fi.

They have seafood but they also have steak as well and a great chicken dish according to my wife. A very good wine selection and some craft beers. Desserts there are outstanding if you like to finish meal that way. They also do have ice wine, expensive but my wife loves it and she said that they were excellent. If you can and kids are up to it, I am assuming they will be with you. You can book a late dinner and see wishes from there deck. They pump in the music as well.

Maybe consider the Rainforest or T-Rex as well (boys that age may love that). Sanaa has been on my list but we have just never made it there for whatever reason. Supposed to be really good and the views look amazing. Akershsus is great when on the dining plan if they are ok with princesses. Le Cellier I have seen getting mixed reviews in recent years (haven't tried it, honestly I haven't been impressed with the food and wine steak which I know I shouldn't judge off of, but boy it's a lot of money if I'm concerned).

HDDR is indoors and is iconic DIsney. I bet the kids would love it! It is over in Fort WIlderness, which is a great place to visit at the same time.

I also would ditch Le Cellier and go for Narcoossees. It is delicious, spacious in comparison, and much more relaxed. The steak is really good, and teh appetizers are as well. The servers are not under pressure to herd you out.

If you do nto have Hibachi, Teppan Edu may be a good choice for your family. It was fun.

Coral Reef is hit or miss, but I think the boys will love it. WE have never had a bad meal, but had some that were not memorable WE always do appreciate the view! I would not cancel this one.

I woudl cancel HBD and choose Sci Fi for the kids.

Sanaa is wonderful, we went at lunch with our DD and she loved watching the animals while we ate. Food was delicious too. Highly recommend

Thanks everyone for all the feedback. I have canceled both HBD and le Cellier and am checking in Sanaa, Hoop De Do, Narcoosees, T Rex, and Akershus.

Here's another vote for Sanaa. Our kids loved it and I have one who is very picky.

Fwiw, I think that DDP would be too much sitting down for our family and any young kids. I'd consider those dinner shows and other ways to use up 2 credits here and there. Also, I haven't looked in awhile. Is T-rex on the DDP?

My only concern with Sanaa is getting there. We won't have a car, and we will be staying at the Poly. Would it be too difficult to go for lunch?

We went at the end of our AK day. You could Uber quickly. We Ubered from AKL to the Dolphin. But a bus to AK and then a bus to AKL is your other option. or monorail to MK and then bus to AKL. That might be easier since it's only 1 bus.
