I am going to book my first cruise for me and my family :grouphug: (me, hubby, 2 year old daughter, my mom and my mother in law) on monday :hourglass and I need some advice.

I want to book the land/sea vacation. Has anyone stayed in the Category 7 room? What about the Animal Kingdom Resort? Do I get a decent room for my money? My mother in law is afraid it will be stinky, with all the animals and all. But my daughter LOVES animals and i think she would really enjoy it.

I also wanted to visit the spa on the cruise. Do I need to book in advance, or can I just show up.

I have never been on a cruise before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :earsgirl:

Thanks!!!!

Valerie

With the Spa, you will need to make reservations once on board. I think they begin taking them at 1 or 2 pm.

As for the Land/Sea package, have you considered booking the trips as two separate ones? It may be a little less expensive.

Can't help you with the AKL....

We've stayed in a cat 7 (navigator's verandah) room - LOVE it!!!

Spa ressies ... rumor has it (talked to a DCL CM this week about it) that starting in April you will be able to call 90 days before your cruise to book spa ressies. I'll wait & see if that really happens. :) Worse case, you'll need to book the day you board the ship.

Both land and sea seperate. I heard its cheaper. You will love Animal Kingdom Lodge. Our favorite resort. No its not stinky at all. Zook keeprs are keeping it clean constantly, also the savanahs are so big, post more in a second. brb
