Today I weighed 144 1/2, so, I down 2 lbs for the week. Technically, by definition of BMI less than 25, I am only about 10 lbs overweight. At the rate I am going, I might be close to my goal by our trip at the end of October (within 10 lbs). We are going to be seeing my brother and his family. We saw them in June. At the time, I had lost only about 15 lbs, and was still extremely heavy. I don't think that anybody noticed that I had lost weight. I haven't told them what I have been up to, so, will they ever be surprised. I bought a new bathing suit for my trip, since I don't think the one I had in June will fit correctly.
One of the drug reps at work says she is going to tease her partner, who has been on maternity leave since early June. She is going to tell her that I am a new doctor when she comes back. That should be fun to see her reaction.
Today, I am working on reorganizing my son's room. At the end of the school year, I had nowhere to put his books from school, so, I am putting some of the books he has that are too easy in storage. I'm not sure I'm going to give them away just now. I think I might let him decide which to keep when he gets a bit older. Last time I put books in storage, he was upset with me for putting Goodnight Moon away. So, I will let him keep whichever were his favorites, any or all of them. Only problem is that the box is too heavy for me to lift--I'll have to find smaller boxes later. Wouldn't you know that since I wanted to find boxes for books this week, we didn't have any boxes at my office that I could use. So, I have about done what I can for now, and will move on to something else.

I actually left the AC at about 77 degrees and I was so hot at night. My friend said she was freezing. We need to find a house that has different zones, so we can both be happy with the temp. Anyhow, the kids behaved very nicely for the most part and even stayed happy during a 2 hour delay that turned our 6 hour drive into an 8 hour drive. Gotta love a DVD player and lots of movies for long car rides.
I'm channelling the strength of all my French canadian and german pioneering ancestors to get through this. My husband is hispanic, and he was telling the kids about how this is the way he grew up, w/ no A/C/, down in the Rio Grande Valley where summer is even longer than it is here, and no ceiling fans! Plus his mom still had to cook. I have enacted a strict oven-ban/stove-ban until my a/c is up and working again, which means we've spent a small fortune eating lunch out every day this week.
, & Delilah--
way to go on your weight losses!
!

My boss said he would order me all new scrubs when I needed them. All my current ones are XL and I am positively swimming in them!!! So next week when we are back from vacation (I am not taking a vacation, I am temping this week to pay for my trip in 2 weeks) I will pour over the catalog and pick out new uni's!!!
I exercised last night for 50 mins, I had to make up for the lost time. I haven't exercised since last Monday! Exercise is definetly the last thing I want to do when I am sick!
I just wanted to check in and say hi!
I've been very busy, especially since getting back from NJ a week ago. I ended up gaining 2 pounds on my trip, but I've since taken it off, plus at least a pound so far, so I'm confident that my weigh-in at work on Friday will be OK. This is the last weigh-in for my company's Biggest Loser contest, and I hope I win! LOL I've been in the lead for the last 3 months since it started, so I'll be devastated if I don't win now. lol I'll let you all know how it goes

He is doing good. He has 2 different hand braces he has to wear for at least the next six weeks, possibly eight. The surgeon took the stitches out yesterday afternoon and today he has more physical thearapy. It will just be an ongoing process of healing, with trying not to re-injure the tendon
Some good did come of it though. His company went ahead and gave him his promotion now rather than waiting until the end of Sept. so now he offically has his office job
I HATE stomach ailments, I'm such a baby when I get sick like that!!!
I hope you're feeling ALL better soon

or cruising
) but I am so craving my regular routine again. I did get out early today (1pm) so I met DH and DD for lunch and we did some shopping. Boscov's (a department store here) had 75%off summer clothes. DH got 5 nice polo shirts and I got 5 nice Izod tees (XL and XXL for DH-he used to be 3X with difficulty at time) and MEDIUM for me!!!
I bet you will be able to lose that other 2.5 before your trip.
