Can anyone tell me where I might find a store that sells the small Sesame Street characters? I'm looking for the little ones that are approximately six inches tall.

This summer I bought a small Ernie at a kids' shop in Kennebunkport, when we were in Maine. The characters were all in a box near the register, and it was a spur of the moment purchase. My grandson absolutely LOVES the Ernie one, and now I wish I had bought more of the characters. They're just the right size for little hands.:)

I've searched all the stores around here (Tucson) and can not find these plush figures. None at Toys R Us, Babies R Us, Walmart, Target, department stores, etc. If I can't find them before Saturday (his first birthday), then I'll call the store in Maine and order them. However, if anyone knows where I might find them, I'll pick them up before Saturday.

Thanks so much for any help!!

Are they about the size of the Ty beanie babies? I've seen them at Walmart on the aisle with the baby items/toys and I think at Toysrus.

Can you look at the tag and see who makes Ernie? You could call that company or find them online and maybe find a place locally that carries their products.

There is a company called Gund that does make small Sesame Street characters the size you want but they are bean bag-like and not true plush. If that is close enough, here is a list of places that carry their line. I have no idea what stores carry what, but it might help.

Thanks! The first time I looked at the tag, I didn't see any company name. I searched harder the second time, and I see they are made by Gund. I will try some of the stores listed on their website. I also see where they can be ordered on their site and picked up at a nearby store. However, I can't tell by looking at the pictures which ones match this particular Ernie.

Thanks, everyone. The ones I'm looking for are not the bean-bag ones. If anyone else has any idea where I might find these little guys, let me know!! Thanks!
