I am hoping to go to disneyland next month but I am going with 2 teenage girls. I need to know what rides will only have 2 seats to them. That way I will know how many rides I will sit all alone in. I hope I am not the one that things it is weird to ride rides alone.

Thanks!

Well, first let me say that it's NOT weird to be a single rider. I was a single rider every afternoon of our trip as DH stayed at the hotel with our girls when they napped last year.

It might be easier to list the rides that DON'T limit to 2 seats. It seems like most are built for 2. Almost all the dark rides are 2 seats (e.g., Snow White, Alice, Toad, Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, Little Mermaid, Buzz).

So, off the top of my head, rides that ARE NOT limited to 2 seats:

- Some of the open-air ones like Mad Hatter Tea Cups, the DLR Railroad (it's a ride in my book!), Grizzly River Run, and Storybook Train can accommodate more than 2 (the train has some 2 person only seats but also has the "cages" that can fit more people).
- It's a Small World (IASW) and Pirates
- Indy
- Matterhorn, Goofy's Sky School, Big Thunder Mountain RR, Space Mountain and Splash have 4 person sleds/cars/logs so at least you're not entirely alone if your 2 teens are in the other section of the same sled/log.
- Many of the Paradise Pier rides aren't limited to 2 (e.g., Mickey's Fun Wheel, Golden Zephyr, Jumpin Jellyfish)

I travel with my two dc and often "ride alone". It didn't feel too weird to me. I'm sure it happens all the time. Usually you will have a stranger in the seat next to you, if there are individual seat compartments.

I wouldn't worry about it at all. I have a 5 and 7 year old and am often the only adult with them. On the FL dark rides, they sit in front of me in the same car, on others (SM, GSS, TSMM) I sit next to the 5 yr old and the 7 yr old sits alone, she's fine with that, knowing that the 5 yr old can't sit alone (though they do occasionally put a SR w/ her on GSS, which bothers her). You'll be fine and try not to worry about it - it happens to any group with an odd number of members.

Are you and the girls slender? If so lots of rides all 3 of you might fit - it'd be tight but doable. But it's not a big deal to ride behind or in front of the 2 girls.

Almost every ride can handle 2 normal sized adults and a kiddo... I know because we've done it, lots... so depending on how big your girls are, you may all 3 be able to squeeze in together... AstroOrbiter and Dumbo are the ones I can think of that we couldn't fit the 3 of us... and Pooh was tight. Jumping Jellyfish pairs you off... If you guys are on the bigger size then you'll have to split up more.

We are a family of 5 with teen kids. One of us often rides alone when the seating on rides is 2 to a seat. I've never even occured to me that people may find it odd. I think it happens all the time. Lots of people tour Disneyland by themselves.

I'm in a family of 3. DH and DS don't get to spend much time together at home, so at Disney they are glued together. Riding alone is my forte, and there's nothing wrong with it at all!

Then again, when I was single I went to dinner alone, went to pubs alone, went to movies alone...and I've had solo trips to Disneyland as well! Nothing wrong or weird at all about being alone, and riding in your own car with your family in the next car is as far from weird as anything. So stop feeling that way. :)

Don't think of it as odd, as you may not be in the same exact seat with them, you will usually be in the same "car" with them, just behind them, but still together, except for in Dumbo, Buzz, TSM, RR, Jumping Jellyfish, maybe other's but that's all I can thing of right now. Just think of it as riding the carousel, you all aren't on the same horse, but you are still riding it together:)
