I am giving using sweet $ low in my coffee! I really do not want to do sugar either. Now anything like sweet & low ie equal. Nothing in it is too tart. I use cream too. What can I do? I LOVE my coffee so I am not giving that up too, yet anyway...
 
I can't help you--just wanted to say that about 2 months ago I quiet using artificial sweeteners (namely Equal) as I was having some physical symptoms that I thought might be due to the Equal. Many of those symptoms have really died down and I am back to using sugar in my tea.
 
I personally think 90% of most addictions (including ciggies) is all mental. At first there is a physical withdrawl, but mostly it's the habit that's hard to break.

You just need to stop buying the sweet and low and then when it's gone it's gone. Personally I never put sugar in my coffee since I think it just makes it bitter, so I don't think it would be too hard to break. Maybe try using milk instead of cream, since milk has natural sugars and will 'sweeten' your coffee a little that way. I believe cream has no sugars since it's allowed on Atkins, but I'm not sure.

Try the weaning method. Start off by putting a little less each time and then skip every other day until you can go with out it. I used to take sugar in my coffee and If I order a coffee and they put sugar in by mistake, it tastes gross.

This is what DH uses - a small amount is sooooo sweet that it covers the cream & sugar. They come in fat free flavors too.

I actually just switched to drinking tea because I can do tea without sugar & cream. In college I tried to do black coffee because I had no where to keep the cream cold and I had a really hard time with it! Good luck!

I was just being a bit funny saying addiction lol but habit is more like it

Splenda is derived from sugar, but it is still full of chemicals.

When I quit fake sugar I had headaches for a week. But I also lost 10lbs like nothing.

But be warned, if you give up fake sugar you can never go back. I get insta-migranes if I eat anything with fake sugar in it.
 
I tend to use half Splenda and half sugar. So I use less sugar but it tastes as sweet with half of the chemicals as with using just plain sweetner.

I love the flavored creamers, but most have sugar in them too.
 
OK so its been almost 2 weeks of no S&L, tried natural sugar and reg sugar. Sooo sweet I dont like it.

Now I am dizzy for a couple days. Not sure if it is anything with stopping this or not, gotta wait and see... but I am slightly dizzy, its weird. Sort of a headache too. Just not sure what it is :confused3

kahlua is good in coffee too
