Need help going faster

I really like digital scrapping but I need help going faster! I can pick the template and photos to use fairly efficiently, but then I dither on the "design" process with the paper and elements. This is keeping me from finishing a book of our year for a christmas gift for grand parents. Complicating matters, is I'm a law student and starting next weekend, will have MUCH less free time.

I'd like to finish 9 double page layouts by sunday night (3 each tomorrow, saturday and sunday). Any suggestions? Albums and the like that I've seen don't seem to be a good choice because I'd like at least 8 pictures per double page layout.

I don't scrap digitally, but what helps me is not having to complete every little thing on a layout, before I move on to the next one. If I can't figure out how I want to embellish, I will let it percolate for a few days. Sometimes, while working on things for a different page I will come up with an idea for a previous layout. Or sometimes when I pull out the layout again, I will realize it's fine the way it is, or needs only a small simple addition, instead of something fancy.

Have you looked through some of the digital layout galleries, like Digitalkshop or myscrapbookart? I am a HUGE digtal scrapper and have been doing it since 2005. There are some fantastic kits out there in the digital market too! If your looking for inspiration, I would be happy to finds some and post here.
