Hi Ladies...
DBF has said he wants me to start planning for a DFTW:lovestruc:lovestruc:cool1: So I need to know what to do... yes I am not engaged yet but I am not letting that stop me if he says go for it then I am... LOL... I have the DFTW planning CD, I have checked out mouseweddings.com...but I was wondering if there is a way I can check out the prices and.. if there is any other websites to look at for all the different places we can get married... I know you are all pros and DBF said have you asked the other people on the DIS about the different options we have, and I said I have but I will sak some more.. I hope I am not being a pest, I would just love to figure out what we can afford.... Thanks

Go to www.disneyweddings.com.

There are three basic packages:

Intimate is for the bride and groom plus up to 18 guests. The intimate weddings I have performed at typically went right from the wedding into a small cake and punch reception with a violinist. I forget the price on that one because Aaron has way too many people in his family.

The next package up is Wishes. You have much more flexibility and control. The minimum varies depending on the season and the day of the week, but the very lowest is $10,000.

Couture is the most expensive package (minimum is $45,000) and there is very little control with that one as the elements are specifically planned.

On that website you will be able to find a list of locations and options for each package. I have done several weddings with the characters back when I worked entetainment so can give you information from a CM's point of view (I also met the woman in charge of the wedding department while working a special and had a chance to pick her brain a bit).

Congratulations! I'm sort of in the same position as you. Aaron has agreed to starting Pre-Cana in the fall but has not proposed yet, so I am quietly looking at options. I wish he gave me the same go ahead your guy gave you.

A great place for photos of wedding sites and reception/ dessert party sites is :

http://www.tazfoto.com/webhtml/wdw_locations.htm

Also if you go on Disney's official site you can make a "wish list" which will tell you more specifically how much your wedding could cost (by adding extra floral or the carriage or other fun "extras")

Happy planning!

(and by the way I booked my wedding before I was engaged (I called it a betrothal) :rotfl:

Congrats! pixiedust:

There's tons of great resources on these boards. You might start with the passporter Lurkyloo wrote.

As Wish on a Star mentioned the wish books on DisneyWeddings.com really do help you get a handle on what the approx. costs may be, but note that the pricing could be outdated.

If the Escape, DCL, Wishes or Couture weddings do not fit your needs there are also hotels on Disney property that do weddings;

Swan & Dolphin

Buena Vista Palace

Royal Plaza

Magical Kingdoms is much like MouseSavers, but again pricing may not be 100% accurate

Check out different PJ's or TR's that strike your fancy, this is a great way to get to get a feel for the event too!

HTH! :goodvibes

Yay!! So glad you are here!! I like magicalkingdoms.com. The prices may be off but there is some good info. And I agree, read lots of Pj's!
