I have a few pics that i would love to have in 'better quality'. as i have no idea how to digitally alter a photo (nor do i own software) i was wondering if someone here may be willing to take on the challenge??

i have a photo of my brother with my kids and his fav:figment. its a bit blurry/out of focus/not sharp

picture of captain jack that isn't sharp

picture of my son after his hair cut on main street at the barbershop that isn't sharp

if you have a bit of time to spare to help me out with these photos, i appreciate it! i can email them to you in full size.

Thanks for any help you can offer.!!!

I do not have the time to help with your edits, but I am probably not even close to the best at this around here anyway. I can offer some suggestions though. If you could, please post scaled down samples for us to judge what can be done. In some situations, you are just out of luck. If you do not know how to post or scale down your images, I suggest opening a Photobucket account. Uploading to them will automatically scale them to have 800 pixels on the longest side.

Also, you do not need expensive software to do edits. There are free programs that are pretty powerful. Even the software that comes with most digital cameras is not too bad. A couple free programs that I recommend are Irfanview and Gimp. Irfanview is good for quick basic edits such as orientation, scaling, etc. Gimp is more powerful but also more complicated. It was designed as an open source free version of Photoshop. While it is not close to really being that, it can do what you are looking to do.

if you have a digital camera it probably came with software that can do at least some editing..it's pretty easy to use usually. digital usually isn't as sharp as film so most have a sharpening mode of some kind and you just need to open the picture and click.
