Need help from SSR owners/fans as well as DVC Pros

We wil be staying at SSR in August. We have booked one studio via a rental agreement with another DVC member. The other studio has been booked using our recently acquired developer points. As it stands now the confirmed members of our party are me, my dad and my 2 boys. My DH might come but we will not know until later. My dad will be staying in one studio by himself whether or not DH comes along.

Here is my dillema - how can we try and get two studios near each other and should we make a special request in terms of a section? We will have our car but I really do not want to have to drive for 5 minutes just to pick my dad up or drop him off every evening. Can we somehow link reservations of 2 different members? What is the most ideal section to try and stay in?

I would note on your reservation your dads name and that you would like to be together. Which section will be a fun learning experience for you and your family. They each have something different to offer.

As Disneynutz said, make a note on the ressie requesting to be near each other (I'd have the note on both ressies if possible)

Quick breakdown:

Congress Park is closest to DTD, has a quiet pool & playground. 7-10 minute walk to the Carriage House (main area with main pool & restaurants)

Springs is located closest to Carriage House, short walk for main pool & food

Grandstand is 5-7 minute walk to Carriage House. Has own quiet/feature pool with water splash play area and a pool bar Also, 1st pick up and drop off on bus routes.

Paddocks is supposed to be nice and not too far from Carriage House. Carousel is the farthest out.
