Need help from PBH experts

My DH and I are spending a few days at the PBH next March for our 20th anniversary. I can get the Entertainment rate for the following rooms:

Deluxe Pool View - $180
Bay View - $170
Garden View - $155

Is the deluxe pool view worth the extra $25/night, or would we be just as happy with the garden view? Or should we split the difference and go with the bay view? If you've stayed there, please tell which you stayed in and how you liked it.

Also, none of these rooms have balconies, right? That might make a difference.

I really don't know if the Bay or Garden rooms have balconies or not, but some of the Deluxe pool rooms do. The rooms with balconies are designated smoking rooms. I have rooms booked that are deluxe pool view with a patio, they are not smoking rooms. I think I would be happy with any room at PBH. What would you like to look at? I personally would like to look at the bay or the gardens. I took the pool view because I wanted a patio (5 kids I wanted some place to escape LOL). Call the hotel direct and ask for front desk reservations. They can answer all your questions about the rooms.

We stayed at PBH over Labor Day weekend in a Deluxe Pool View Room (also $180). It was a really beautiful room. HUGE bathroom with separate shower. We had a non-smoking room with a terrace overlooking the Villa Pool. I would highly recommend this. I understand the "balcony" rooms are smoking rooms, but we had a "terrace" which was very nice. Since this is your 20th anniversary, I would definitely book the Deluxe Pool View Room - you won't be sorry.

Can I ask what date in March you got those rates? I've been phoning every two days for the last month, and was told nothing out yet for end of March, beginning of April? And what # did you phone?

antmaril, question about your room. You said you had a terrace. were you on the ground floor? could you walk out your terrace door? what room number were you in? Did you request this room?? thanks..amy

We weren't really on the ground floor. It's kind of hard to explain. We couldn't walk out from the terrace, we were slightly above ground level. I'm sorry I don't remember the room number. I had originally requested a balcony room, but then discovered that the balcony rooms were all smoking rooms, so I called back and said I didn't really want a smoking room. I was pleasantly surprised with the "terrace".

You really can't make a mistake - this place is great. I would take any room at PBH.

I would go for the bayview room...the lights on the water are beautiful at night. We have stayed at the Portofino many times, just last weekend again.

Some of the Bayview rooms do have balconies.

We have also had the garden view...it is very nice...we over looked the bocce ball courts.

Amy: I made my reservations by calling 1-800-23-LOEWS. I have had good luck using that number.

As already stated the views are all great just what do you want to see. Those are the "going" ent. rates and were the same from last year and unless theres a blow out sale on PBH which I doubt you've got the best you can get. You will love PBH there are balcony's, terraces, and patios so it's your preference. Keep in mind though there is a very limited number of balcony's ect. so be sure you note that on your ressies' and maybe call the hotel directly 60 days before your stay and ask for Guest Services and reaffirm that requst is important to you.
