I am trying to help my sister out of a jam.
Let me start by saying that my sister is not at all Internet savvy. In fact, letting her on the Internet is like handing a loaded gun to a child. She is scary!
She is a CM at WDW. A couple of weeks ago, she was involved in a flash mob at Disney's Wide World of Sports. She found out today that a video of the flash mob was up on YouTube. Of course, she did not call me to ask how to watch it.
Instead of going to YouTube, she went to utube.com. The first thing it asked for was her cell phone number. Most people would have seen this as a red flag and not entered their number. But, she did. When she got to the next screen, there was something about a $9.99 a month charge. It scared her, so she bailed out of the site. Unfortunately, she is now received text messages to her cell phone from this company. She has a prepaid account with Verizon and is afraid that they are going to use up all her minutes as well as charging her the $9.99 a month.
I did try to go to the site to see if I could find a way to contact them to cancel the service. I can't get there without entering my number and I won't do that. There is nothing in the text messages that give a way to respond to them.
Any suggestions for getting her out of this mess? I did a quick look on google, but couldn't find anything. I told her to contact Verizon and see what they can do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
