Need help from model railroaders PLEASE!

Santa brought my son an O-gauge Lionel Polar Express set that included an oval layout and CW-80 transformer. We also have a remote switch and a lighted bumper to create a siding off of the oval track. The problem is we are maxing out the amperage and cannot run the track, switch, and bumper all at the same time. How can we fix this? Will the LIO32923 Lionel Hobby Transformer work? Here are the details: 36 Watt/1.8 Amp Accessory Transformer, Basic power and control system, Ideal for powering your Lionel Accessories. Is there a better product? I'm concerned the amperage is too small with this power source as well as we will want to add more switches and/or accessories to our layout in the future.
