I will soon be planning our first DVC trip to AKV. What I can't decide is to stay in Concierge (if I can get it) and save some money on food (just to supplement a big meal for the day, not all the meals) or stay in Kidani with the great bathroom and great views. I know Diser's will ask which is most important--well, all of it is! Just not sure since I haven't stayed at AKV before if one thing like saving some money should be more important that the room and the views. :confused3 Thanks!

That's just it, what's important! To me, with a traveling party of 6-8, that extra bathroom, plus the underground parking and Sanaa beats Concierge any day! I also much prefer Kidani to Jambo! (I travel with 3-4 16 year old boys with us, there is no such thing as food savings in my world)

Also a factor in your decision, how much time you will spend at the resort to be able to take adavantage of the breakfast, appetizers/snacks etc.

Good luck with your decision!

Didn't know they had underground parking! Cool. There will only be 2 adults, no kids. Since I have never experienced Concierge, I just don't know whether it is even worth it. We are planning more resort time than usual, so we would be around most days to take advantage of it, but I keep thinking of that fabulous bathroom in Kidani. :)

, but I keep thinking of that fabulous bathroom in Kidani. :)
And Oh, it is fabulous, though a bit dimly lit!

If it were just the two of us, I think I would do Concierge, take a more relaxed approach!

Anybody out there that has had AKV Concierge and can tell me a little bit about it?

DH and I stayed for the first time there in May, and we didn't have park passes, so lots of resort time. I must say, we were only in a studio, and we enjoyed the view several times on a daily basis. I think we spent more time on our deck than in the actual room - it was just blissfully peaceful to have my tea, read a book, even use my laptop and be able to glance down and see the giraffes/zebras anytime. Also, we were on the top floor, so I was able to watch Wishes in the distance and Illuminations if we were around at night. We had a rental car, so I had plenty of snacks in our studio kitchen, or I would run down to the gift shop for an ice cream:thumbsup2 I've never stayed at CL, so can't help you there. Just wanted you to know the views and resort itself are very enjoyable!
